Re: A tribute to Grindael
This entire thing is really getting absurd!
While there are clearly different opinions as to why this thread was started here and why it was titled as it was (I offered my opinion in the thread already) there seems to be one thing that is critically important. One thing that isn't being put on the table for consideration and that is all this projecting, assigning of motives and discussions around the "new member" (Cultellus).
What if the suggested motives aren't accurate? What if the assigned purposes that he/she has been given aren't true? What if this "new member" possesses different motives for participating? Would it matter? Does it make any difference?
As the last few days have passed, I believe it has become crystal clear what his/her motives are. I think it's become crystal clear what this "new member's" purpose for participating on this forum is. At this point, from the last several posts that he/she has made, you would have to be almost blind not to know. But, just in case there are some who don't know, I will tell you.
His/her motives and purpose for partaking in this community is to challenge this community. This new member is calling out bigotry. Standing against bullies. Pointing out the intolerance. He/She is criticizing this community for allowing certain people to post whatever the hell they want directly and only based on who it is that is posting.
At the end of the day, no matter if you agree or disagree with the these challenges and criticism that are being placed on our table, I believe it is healthy for a community to at least consider what it is that is on the table. And now you know!

Click on either of the two posters screen name. To the right of the screen, you will see a link to "search on users posts". Click the link and see for yourself what has been posted in the other forum.

I understand your frustration but you have to understand many of us have no interest in those off-topic forums. I don't follow the Paradise forum at all.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:09 pmThanks for the advice to call for Shades to fix this ASAP. Are you another who fails to read? This situation has been ongoing for at least two weeks time. If I am not mistaken I noted two threads that appear in Paradise authored by myself. A new call for mods and an older call for mods that I bumped up from December 2020.
In other words, it's already been done. Presently and in the past. And also during the end times of the previous version of MDB.
From the outside it just appears to be posters arguing about political hotbutton issues like vaccines. I am very glad that kind of crap isn't posted here in Terrestrial.

Re: A tribute to Grindael
LDSfaqs was brought up on a thread just about a week ago in spirit paradise. That's all I know about him. I've never been to the previous board. Again, before me and the other guy came along you and Lem called subgenius and Ajax18 the forum trolls. It's obvious that you and Lem are perfectly fine with doc cam, schmo and Icarus attacking posters.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:06 pmI thought you claimed to have read hundreds of posts on this board? The previous board is still accessible. You can read about the mod action taken against LDSFAQS over there and the lengthy debate as to whether or not his participation should be limited, as well as examining his relocated posts to see the evidence of what those decisions were based on.Atlanticmike wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:02 pm
Didn't LDSfaqs also lean a little to the right politically? Why is it the conservative or moderate posters always being attacked on this board? Lem is upset because I gave as good as I got from doc cam and some schmo. She's perfectly fine with those two insulting other posters but God forbid if a new guy attempts to do the same.
LDSFAQS was never a new guy to this board community.

What is absurd is that you obviously aren't familiar with the chronology of the onset and escalation. You could read Cultellus history of posting here if he hadn't actively deleted the evidence to the tune of 300 posts. This isn't a case of generalities. It's a specific case of trolling and spamming that is presently ongoing in the other forum.ceeboo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:10 pmThis entire thing is really getting absurd!

I watch what people do on this board. I caught the onset and followed the escalation. I am pretty sure I could venture a guess as to what I think are the intentions of others who have alternately ignored and replied to the trolls.
But don't go by me.
It would be the equivalent of someone picking up on Shulem's recent inappropriate remarks here in Terrestrial, and then using those as an excuse to litter Terrestrial with the same. In which case, Terrestrial posters would likely take note, attempt to report the posts only to receive no response from admin.
Same exact scenario.

Re: A tribute to Grindael
That's not the chronology of the situation as it unfolded. You are using an example of mid-situation responses and resulting behavior to your disruptions over time and Shades lack of response to them. Unfortunately for you, I pay attention and can attend to what I see for long periods of time, on several threads at once, and reference what took place.
Again. We have a variety of ways to search the forum, the threads, and even isolate a poster's posting history for examination. No one here can examine your posting history from the onset of your trolling. You made sure of that when you deleted approx.300+ posts that served to destroy the evidence.

Are specific posters violating specific universal rules, or board rules in Paradise? If so, those instances should be flagged to one of the mods via DM. Or that’s been my experience anyway.

Lem,
Somewhere on this thread, I noticed that you confirmed my impressions of your OP and it's intent. I appreciate that. I can see how folks would view it as two differing sub topics. I did that on first read myself until I had a bit more time to think about it. I can see how one thought led to the other and how one issue is married to the other.
