I haven't ever been all that bothered by the so called 'racism' in the Book of Mormon. I think, just like everything else, there are a lot of 'moving parts' that we may not be privy to.

For the most part, the men got along with the Elves and Dwarves and had no problem at all with the Hobbits.
This doesn't make sense to me. Flesh it out?
Lord of the Rings is considered by everyone to be fictional. The Book of Mormon is considered by many to be a historically based account of actual people who lived and breathed.
Your response doesn't seem to have much if anything to do with the post I made just previous to your response.

And there is just as much archaeological evidence of Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits as there is of Jaredites, Nephites and Lamanites. "Oh, mommy. Say it isn't so."

As a young student at Oxford, Tolkien claimed that he discovered a number of old books in the basement of the school's library. They contained an account of life in Europe 6, 500 years ago and an epic struggle for ancient civilization that occurred then.
The books were written in ancient Scandinavian, a language that Tolkien had coincidently studied so he was able to read them. Tolkien reportedly told his friends like C.S. Lewis… "there’s a whole history we don’t even know about."
Now, Europe 6,500 years ago was far different than we know it today. The British Isles were connected to the continent in what archeologists now refer to as "Doggerland". If one looks at maps of old Europe, they can easily see how it connects to the LOTR topography...

Each century has its best literature, and The Lord of the Rings was it for the 20th Century. Nothing dumb about inclusion into that circle.
Try again.

Okay, maybe I was being overly considerate about inclusion in that circle, but I truly believe Mormons are wonderful people (and that is their truth!).
I'm going to make an educated guess that there may be as many middle earth believers as there are Mormons who believe in the Book of Mormon.
I mean, look at that fable absolutely true recounting I quoted. If C.S. Lewis "witnessed" this, then I think Peterson has his next movie.
Of course Middle Earthers and Book of Mormon believers probably don't hold a candle to the Flat Earther count, but I'd have to check the numbers.
This makes Mormons out to be dumb and stupid.

You think people who believe in a flat earth are dumb and stupid? How so?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
