I agree that "Mormon Mitt" has a tough job. When even lawyers are bigoted enough to demand that he be subjected to religious tests which are specifically contrary to your vaunted constitution, and nobody says a word in protest, I see that the barrier of American public hypocrisy is too high to overcome.
Well, look on the bright side. There's still less bigotry against electing a Mormon president than there is against electing a (gasp) ATHEIST president.

Don't you all get it yet? They believe Mormonism is Satanic. It would be like voting for satan's manchurian candidate.
And yes, this IS real bigotry (which does exists, and is minimized by those who lump secular critics in with EV anti Mormons).

Go figure...
Your first point in the irony is correct. Your second point on the brethren telling Mormons to vote republican is nonesense. There are a number of Democrats that are GAs, Pres. Faust among them.

Actually, what I said is that they will continue to vote Republican until they are told not to do so. Don't know if that directive will ever happen.

I would not vote for a Mormon for the same reason I would not vote for a scientologist. Their sole purpose in life is to promote their mind virus of choice.
Does that make me a bigot?
And crawling on the planet's face Some insects called the human race Lost in time And lost in space...and meaning
