I know there are a lot of religious nuts out there. Hell, I was one for thirty years. And I know they're irritating. But what about all the irritating atheists out there? Many of them seem no less dogmatic than the religious loons they scorn.

You know? If you don't want to say "Merry Christmas", don't say it. But for God's sake (oops), why launch a campaign to get everyone else to stop saying it? Who the hell cares? Ramadan, Christmas, Hannukah, the bizarro Kwanzaa...the more celebration, the better. In fact, I'm thinking of getting in on the act, and starting my own winter religious holiday. Of course, first I'll have to invent a religion, but that doesn't seem so hard. "Talism"...hmmm...kinda has a nice ring to it. What about "The Eight Days of Bachmania"?

Anyway, radical atheists are a notoriously touchy lot, as sensitive to insult as any other group of fanatics, so I just wanted to take the opportunity to come on here and upset them. Stop playing the wet blankets, you dweebs!

I agree. However, I have to say I'm watching Dawkins on his campaign to see where it will go. When he encountered Ted Haggard I was impressed. If I had to choose between the two, I would go with Dawkins' view.
