It occurs to me that I might possibly owe you an apology. It is highly likely that someone has stolen your identity and that you may be as much a victim of this type of behavior as others. What do you think?

I just did one of those free online credit checks and everything seems to be in order, so I don't think I've been the victim of identity theft.

Thanks for your concern.

Are you the same Randall that posts over on Z?

Let's just say that whoever it is really, really, really wants to keep his identity a secret.

When you purchase a domain, you can pay a few extra bucks to make the domain private - which is what was done in this case. That way, your personal information. isn't out there for everyone to see.

To me, it's a no brainer, and something i did with a website of mine.

Oh, so that's where Mr Itchy's blog is.

Itchy seems to know an aweful lot about Dr. Shades--so much so in fact that I wonder whether Mr. Itchy isn't Dr. Shades' step brother or otherwise intimately familiar with Dr. Shades.

Hey guys, yeah... I already did the whois and all that fun stuff.

There's really no point in trying to use the whois to find out anything about him, his records, or his website. What we need to be worried about is the content of his posts.

If only he'd take the same approach -- stop labeling us as having an anti-mormon agenda, and start judging the content of our posts for what they are. I'm learning more and more these days that common sense isn't all too common. He is a good writer, after all, it's just the stuff he writes about that's no good. If he were to actually use logic, I could even enjoy having a decent discussion with him.

In fact -- Pretty soon I will be setting up a Mormon Discussions chat room on this page -- when it's set up, I challenge Mr. Itchy to a chat.

Or, if Mr. Itchy would rather not wait -- I am on AIM as keenemaverick, or google talk (jabber) as keenemaverick@gmail.com I also tend to lurk on irc.sento.com as Keene or Keeninja. I have MSN and Yahoo as well, but I don't often sign on -- Too many crazy Mormon girls trying to get into my pants.

Or else he had dinner with Dr Shades, and broke bread as a friend. Or who attended the Sunstone presentation and shook the Doc's hand as a friend would. It's always really upsetting when it's someone you thought was a friend, and then they turn out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

What I find amazing is that this was apparently prompted by Mr. Scratch's use of Pee and Juliann's real names. Anyone who has been on Mormon/exmormon boards for longer than two minutes knows Pee's real name. How long did he post with his real name on ARM? Who could possibly not recognize his distinctive, ahem, style? Not to mention his essays bearing the same name, easily accessed from FAIR. Geez, an article on FAIR even refers to him by his real name as a "poster on Zion's Lighthouse Message Board", although I don't recall him ever posting under his real name THERE.

NOTE: I can't provide a link to the FAIR ARTICLE in which Pahoran is identified by his REAL NAME and a quote is taken from him from a post on the ZION'S LIGHTHOUSE BOARD. You see, Pee objects to people knowing his real name. Of course, he hasn't asked FAIR to remove the reference to his name, but let's not confuse the issue.

And Juliann - her connection to FAIR is well known, as is her interest in particular topics. Her essays have been linked from ZLMB in the past, with the acknowledgement that it was "our" Juliann's. AND she posted under her real name at Times and Seasons.

http://www.timesandseasons.org/archives/000739.html

So now it's some big secret worth exposing personal information about Harmony, who, to my knowledge, has NEVER shared personal information about her identity except in the real life company of people she viewed as real life friends and trusted, as well as MUCH MORE information about another poster other than his name???? Where he works??? His political affiliation??? Geez, what did this itchy creep do, sit around and perform lengthy searches for any personal information he could find?

Well, this creep should be aware that you can't contain information, and that soon everyone will know who did this. Personally, knowing the friendly posture this person has maintained to the people he now attacked makes it even more repulsive to me. I will never again view this individual with the same regard I once had.

And the fact that, apparently, he has done this with the winks and nods of other people in the Mormon internet community - well, as far as I'm concerned, each one of you who has, in any way, felt that this attack was justified simply because scratch mentioned names that everyone knows, anyway, and critiqued their posting/apologia - you're as much of a creep as Itchy. Each one of those apologists could come here and defend their "good" name. The vast majority will not, because they refuse to post anywhere where they are not afforded special protection. It speaks volumes for the strength of your apologia, as well as your own view of its strength, that you realize you need special protection.

But it's a good thing that you're not hiding under a bushel, and letting your, ahem, "light" shine for all to see. Now we know more about your real characters.

that's where it was wither registered or where its hosted.

Considering the internet has no country this angle is pretty irrelevant.
