Yeah, here it is a little later, about 8:15 in the evening. I just popped another one, just for you. This a nice cold Christmas brew called Torgauer, from the Torgau brewery, somewhere in Saxony. It is really delicious. But, it is my last one. Then, I move on to Paulaner hefe weissen (dunkels).

LOL. I think I've met my match.
I doubt it! I get ripped after just a few beers. This X-mas beer, however, must be strong because it has only been two (or three?) and I am quite trashed. But, then, I didn't eat but a little breakfast. Maybe that's it. Sure, that's it.
I had a lot of friends from Australia when I lived in Japan and still have those friends today. They drank me under the table every time we went out. LOL

I have a workmate who drank a case (24) in one session. Most I've ever downed was 16. 5.7% is fairly high though, mine's usually around 5.2%. After three it barely has an effect. Seven or eight is my usual quota.

Yes I know, I saw where Dawkins quoted that. I'm a long time Jefferson reader, not so much his politics but his religious views, or his views on religion. If you look at more of his quotes/writings you'll see where he thinks very highly of Jesus' ethical teachings, but debunks miracles and the supernatural. He had very complex views, and if you take his writings in isolation you're very likely to come to the wrong conclusion about him. In some writings he condemns Christianity outright, and in others speaks very highly of Jesus. His views seems to have been somewhat like Paine's.
If you haven't read the recent Dawkins/Collins debate in Time magazine, it's well worth a read.
