The Mockingboard.

Post by _rcrocket »

This board exists primarily to mock Mormons principally and the religious faith of Christians secondarily.

Would you feel good about participating anonymously on a board to mock the Jews in your town -- their personalities, their professions, their practices?

Would you feel good about anonymously mocking the liturgy of the Methodist Episcopal Church?

God will not be mocked.

Would that be the Mormon god or the xtian god? (the mocking of course)

You have to admit that a god with a super hero for a son is... well, a little odd.

I've always wondered why the guy (Jesus) never flew. I mean he could walk on water. He must have some form of x-ray vision. How else was he able to see into the souls of man?

Yes, it is tough to defend Christianity. After all, the commonly-accepted view in the second century is that the disciples stole the Body.

And yet you keep coming back and posting. Is this place on your hometeaching route?

Yes, if I had the emotional investment in them like I did Mormonism and found out it was all based on lies.

But he will send an angel with a flaming sword down and tell someone he will die if he doesn't hook up with some babe? That God is deserving of all the mocking he gets here and more.

Hi there,

No. This Message Board primarily exists to mock the "FAIR" Message Board, now called the MA&D Message Board. The Moderators on the "FAIR" Messsage Board would keep on banning the '"evil" critics' there, for what the Moderators there didn't like what they 'the critics' wrote on their Message Board.

And if they also taught that people only lose faith in their particular belief system due to desire to sin, trivial reasons such as having one's feelings hurt, never really believing to begin with, being under the influence of satan, and being psychologically disturbed and untrustworthy....

No kidding!

And the antics of the Mormon god?! Can you believe it!?

I mean coming down from the Heavenly "Upper East Side" and making a booty call on one of your own children?!

Yeah right!

Technically, however, Brackite is right - the mocking on this board is directed at FAIR.

We criticize certain LDS beliefs, however. Are you suggesting, as many in our society seem to believe, that religion should be sacrosanct, beyond criticism?

Then run back to FAIR/MAD. This board exists to encourage free speech about Mormonism. If that speech is critical then that should clue you into the situation of your so-called church being indefensible.
Plutarch wrote:This board exists primarily to mock Mormons principally and the religious faith of Christians secondarily.

Considering those things are mutually exclusive ill start with the first claim. Mormonism, as discussed on this board is two sided. You have as much a right to say what you want to say as I or anybody else does.

As for christianity being attacked, christians have as much a right to defend their god delusion here as any other faith.

If you want to start yelling at individuals who have grossly attacked christianity, go talk to every president of MormonCorp since joseph smith.
Plutarch wrote:Would you feel good about participating anonymously on a board to mock the Jews in your town -- their personalities, their professions, their practices?

Hate to break it to you pootard but your not Jewish. I know your "leader guy" told you that you are because the leader guy told me the same thing. I'm jewish because my mother is jewish.

Now that that's out of the way, remember that Mormonism is a valid target. Its a NRM that's been around for only 100 years. Its small, radically different from any sect besides true Mormonism (a.k.a. fundies) and does not truly represent a valid comparrison to Judaism.

Mormonism is as deserving of criticism as white supremacist groups, multi level marketing and Wal Mart.

All I have to do is turn to the Pre-1990 temple ceremony for a ritualized form of discrimination and bigotry against christians. How many people in the church trumpeted that pathetic display of anti christian sentiment? Or was making a contract with the devil just a friendly way of saying "we accept you"?
Plutarch wrote:Would you feel good about anonymously mocking the liturgy of the Methodist Episcopal Church?

Sure, if it were not as screwed up as Mormonism.
Plutarch wrote:God will not be mocked.

Did you mean to say "Plutarch will not be mocked" because I have never met god, never communicated with him and never seen any evidence of him. Please refrain referring to your imaginary friend in the future as it really mucks up rational discourse.
