Would you like the terrestrial or telestial instructions? ;-)

You click on the Img thing on the list of options in your post.

See? You paste the url to the image in there.

For example, here is a photo of the footwear I have on while I slog through your posts:

This was the original url: http://carolinaglove.thomasnet.com/ImgMedium/a1365.jpg

Then pasted between the [img]and[/img]

It doesn't work. All I get is the URL spelled out in text between the IMG.

Like this (Here's my current "Bumbles bounce" avatar):

It's pretty much the same process for creating an avatar.... Oops, I just noticed you don't have an avatar.

OK, step by step. Find a picture you like. Either on your own harddrive, or on the internet. If its on the internet, save it to your harddrive. Go to tinypic.com. Browse through images (on your directory) until you find the picture that you want, then upload the image by clicking on "Upload Image." This step will give you a web address for your picture, called a URL Link. Copy the whole URL Link by blocking it and copying to your short-term memory, or if that is too complicated, simply write it down with a pen. It should resemble something like: http://i6.tinypic.com/2s85xsz.jpg

If you want to put this pic in your post, just click on the "Img" button above. Then copy the URL Link, then hit the "Preview" button below. The picture should pop up in your Preview box. Here, let's give it a whirl with my made-up URL Link from my example above: Image

Wow! Look what the cat drug in. What are the chances that my made-up link would actually be the URL to a pic of a supermodel wearing a bikini ???? The gospel must be true!!!

Nope. When I hit the preview button, it just gives me the entire address on my hard drive in text. The pictue won't appear. I'm not sure what's really wrong here. Everything seems to work up until I paste the URL and hit the preveiw button. Then the text address appears and that's what posts.

I've never gotten pics to work either. Let me try

Image

Wow, it worked.

Here's what you do. When you see an image you like, right click on it, go to properties. There, you should see the url for the pic. Copy that (ctrl-c). Then, paste that url into your post, and surround it with the img tags.

Nope. Completely useless. All it does is paste the URL to the field and then post that. Never mind, not big deal.
