VegasRefugee,
This is really quite amazing!
Yes, the Dead Sea Scrolls tour in 2000 used mock ups to draw in non Mormons (no one came, at least in Minnesota).
Could please explain what you mean by a “mock up”?
In this they drew the same connection pseudohistorians made, that of Jesus being from qumran, etc.
Could please define the pronoun? Exactly who made the assertion that Jesus came from Qumran?
We as missionaries were to stand on hand and pass out the Book of Mormon at the end of the tour, coached by the FARMS douches to make connections between the dead sea scrolls and the gold plates.
Please explain the connections you were coached into making and who were the "FARMS douches" that did the coaching.
My mission president on several occasions would draw the conclusions between Mormons and jews, Mormons fulfilling the "post-jesus judaism".
I’m sorry, but this makes absolutely no sense to me-- and I was involved with the project as a tour guide at BYU. What do you mean by the expression “the post-Jesus Judaism” and in what way did your Mission President see Mormons fulfilling this phenomenon?
