harmony wrote:"What gives?" On the MAD board, you posted that we are in a huff here. I pointed out that we aren't, but you say I'm jumping down your throat when I point that out? Who's the super sensitive one now? I didn't jump down your throat. If that counts as jumping down your throat, you might want to invest in an asbestos suit, because you're surely going to feel like you're constantly getting flamed, even when you aren't.

I'm used to disagreements taking a different tone, and understanding that a criticism leveled at specific people is not a criticism of everyone. I'm becoming aware that some of you are very sensitive about the respect that your board receives, as well as the treatment you received at the MAD board. I did not intend to criticize that in any way, so please don't accuse me of doing so.

harmony wrote:We comment often on the vagarities of the MAD folk. Some of us here are victims of the arbitrary nature of their moderating styles, and so when someone sees something off-the-wall, they bring the comments here, for those of us who are excommunicated from FAIR/MAD, and cast into the pit of fire and brimstone. Unfortunately for those who run MAD/FAIR, we who are thus cast out have created a nice little neighborhood here, where we chat, discuss, critique, and comment without the constant threat of expulsion looming o'er us, and so we do... chat, discuss, critique, and comment about many things, including MAD/FAIR and the LDS church.

If their rules are arbitrary then that's their prerogative. Message boards are not democracies. You're still playing a victim card, but you have your own board here where you feel free to be the aggressor. I directed nothing at you and don't understand why you're taking things so personally.

harmony wrote:The rules. Many of us have friends who still post on MAD/FAIR, even though we have been judged, excommunicated and banished, more often than not, without justification or a fair trial.

Once again, a message board is not a democracy. I've been kicked off of non-Mormon boards before, but I don't let it get under my skin and fester. I especially don't accuse those who have kicked me out of doing it for silly reasons that I've speculated, like this:

harmony: Several of us are not only excommunicated, we are banished.

Jersey Girl: And then there's me. I voluntarily withdrew from posting on the MAD and was later banned.

Back when I had AOL I was chatting on a christian board and brought up God being married. I was booted out of there real quick. I found another chat room, and withen a few days brought up Jesus is our brother. Got booted out of there too.

Good times.

That's because they saw it as blasphemy. They should have chosen to engage you on those issues. I would have.

that's because you have to realize, most of what Mormons believe, is considered VERY blasphemous by most other christian religions.

Then don't describe us as "in a huff", when we aren't.

You're the one who made it about us, when you said we were in a huff. Patronizing us, patting us on the head.

When you've been around long enough to know my history, you can call me silly. Until then, be advised that when I say your moderators are arbitrary, I know of which I speak. I am harmony, and if that doesn't mean anything to you, it's because you haven't been around long enough.

I consider the tone of your posts a "huff." Below you affirm that you are harmony, as if you're shouting it from a roof top, and you insinuate that your name carries some kind of weight that I would reverence if I were familiar with your obviously noteworthy history. That kind of histrionics I consider a "huff." If you feel I am wrong then I apologize. Irrespective, I will not make another reference to anyone's attitude on this board.

Have you attempted to register there under a false name after being kicked off?

I was -- last summer. FAIR put me on the queue in April, and then locked me out from even reading the bb during the summer. I guess I could try to find a way around it (using a different URL or a sockpuppet), but it's not worth the time.

I think the KEP debate in the pundit forum died down a couple months ago. Has the discussion started up again?

ROTFL. This is not a huff. When I get in a huff, it's unmistakable.

Below you affirm that you are harmony, as if you're shouting it from a roof top, and you insinuate that your name carries some kind of weight that I would reverence if I were familiar with your obviously noteworthy history.

Uh, no. If I was shouting from the rooftops, it would read: I AM HARMONY. Or something similiar. Lower case letters tend to mean normal speaking voice (if you're such an experienced poster, I'm surprised you don't know this already). And my history is only noteworthy for a few people, one of which I caught in a very public lie. No wonder she's still sideways with me.

That kind of histrionics I consider a "huff." If you feel I am wrong then I apologize. Irrespective, I will not make another reference to anyone's attitude on this board.

Thanks.

Nope. I'm one of the banished; I can't even read, let alone register under a different name.
