Simply that...who are there rulers and who are the followers???

Some of the posters act as if thier butt is made of gold...and can and do get away with anything...others are firmly put in their place...by the ones who butts made of gold....

I refuse to kiss butts made of gold....

Mine is, at best, made out of gold leaf. I still rather highly doubt you would like to kiss it, though.

It seems all boards develop their own kind of heirarchies (I didn't spell that right, did I?) or royalties. I guess it goes with the territory.

I enjoy your posts, if that helps any. I'll send you a crown to wear, even, if you wish. LOL

Just stay alive, at peace and happy, with loved ones around. That's enough. The rest is of no real significance.

I enjoy your posts here too. You have character.
I don't like clubs and gangs, never have done (see it in the playground all the time), there are some
more vociferous characters on the board, but I hope that
Shades will continue to promote a board that welcomes all personality types, and
all opinions.

I guess the one thing I have had to try to develop is a thick skin, and you seem to be doing well on that basis!!

No Gramps I do not want a crown...my monkey head would not hold a crown very well I have having a hard enough time holding up my classes...and you saw how well the melon fit on my cat head....

I am glad someone like my posts I was beginning to wonder

I usually do have a thick skin..and I have alowed Jersey Girl to get under my skin for some reason...Well I guess I will just have grow a thicker skin

Only Shades and I have the authority to make any changes. We also have the policy to make little to no changes.

Unfortunately, we are not omniscient, so if people ARE acting as you describe them, enforcing their own little hierarchies, we often can't know about it until much later.

When I do see this behavior, I try to discourage it. This is a place of freedom and equality. The rules are simply stated and flexible to the situations. Only Shades and I have the authority to interpret the rules. All concerns and complaints should be directed at us. If anyone tries to take the rules into their own hands, they will be reprimanded just as much as those who broke the rules.

Uggghhh... I hate saying that. Rules are so STUPID!

Here's what I will say to you, Misery-less-one. People should respect your right to be here, and to say whatever you wish. But you should also respect their right to be here and say whatever they wish, even if what they say has no authoritative grounds. Respecting their right to say it doesn't mean you have to respect WHAT they say. Use your mind, judge yourself. Same goes for them.

Ahh, you and Jersey Girl are a little alike, you know, you both like to make your points and do things your way, and pretty tenacious about it. And that's okay.

Me, I'm a follower. If Dr. Shades jumped off a cliff, I would do it too. (Hey, where are the smilies around here?)

Dr. Shades, can I be given the title "Omniscient King of the Board" ?? That would be cool. That way I would always be able to jump into any conversation and rule it. Or maybe just "King of the Earth" would be cool enough too. I don't need my butt to be made of gold, a royal title would be just fine for me. Of course, I know that I will need another thousand or two posts before given such a title, which for me, translates into about five years.....ah well, never mind.
