Because he talks about his ex-wife constantly and had a picture of himself as his avatar for a while.

No, but it will put you on people's blacklists, and then you get more and more irritated by the way everyone ignores you until you break rules that get you banned.
maklelan wrote:I've noticed he started out just fine, but after his arguments didn't seem to go over well with as many people as he wanted he started to get more sloppy and antagonistic.
I think SleepingWillow got lazy. The pussycat's final posts occurred on Monday, when he/she made 25 posts in just a few short hours. Most were glib, one-line retorts.
In the past the moderators probably would have warned Southwest and put him/her on the queue. But these days... the moderators get lazy too, I guess.
I never saw it coming when I got banned from ConcernedChristians. A lot of times people will be told that one more time and they're outta here. That sometimes catalyzes them to just go out with a bang.

Yes, the first time I went on the Q at MAD was for that reason. After I got warned for something, I told Dunamis to shove it up her ass (or something like that). It's called suicide.
WK: "Joseph Smith asserted that the Book of Mormon peoples were the original inhabitants of the americas"
Will Schryver: "No, he didn’t." 3/19/08
Still waiting for Will to back this up...

And I would consider banishment without a warning a logical way to avoid the often overly offensive suicide posts. If I ran a message board I would probably do that. It makes more sense to me than warning them knowing that they're just gonna fly off the handle.

I mentioned her 2-3 times in roughly 1100+ posts. I had a picture of myself for roughly 12 hours. You're an ass. Thanks for playing.

I posted over 1200 posts in 3 months. I'm not omnipresent, I can't respond to everything. For what it's worth, maklelan, and if this thread is any evidence, you don't usually have particularly salient arguments to respond to.
For what it's worth, here is my best guess as to why I was banned. It was in response to a PM I received on exmo-social.com from Dr. Shades (which I post without permission, but I think the PM is innocuous):
Dr. Shades wrote:Hi there SleepingWillow,
I understand that you were banned from the MA&D boards. Therefore, you qualify for an entry in my "FAIR/MA&D Exiles" weblog.
Would you care to tell me the details behind your banning?
Thanks in advance, --Shades
My response:
SleepingWillow wrote:I have not been given any reason for the ban, nor have I contested the ban. If my input is not wanted there, for whatever reason, I am not willing to prostrate myself to the moderators to try to get my privileges reinstated.
My best guess as to my banning is that I stepped on a cow that was just too sacred to talk about (not the temple). A true "investigator" appeared on the boards. She had no trollish qualities and was curious about a couple Church policies ostensibly for the sake of her son. She also seemed to be fairly uninformed about the Church. I shared some of the most damaging, budding-testimony-crushing information I had. Not in an angry way, but in a simple, matter of fact way that I had used successfully on that board for my previous 1,000 posts to contribute without being banned. The next morning I logged on to find I was completely perma-banned. Perhaps they finally tired of me. Perhaps I crossed a line. It is of no matter. They have taught me that no matter how civil you are, no matter how reasonable you are, and no matter how well you follow the official board rules, you are utterly at the whim of capricious moderators who ban those who don't toe the party line. I learned that FAIR/MA&D is nothing more than another forum to proselytize the Church.

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say because he/she got sideways of DCP and Juliann. He/she didn't lick enough boots or polish enough egos. Hopefully someone invited Southwest here.
