Jersey Girl: What Blog are you talking about, Pahoran? Are you referring to the inclusion of real life names by Mr. Scratch?

Not in particular, although that little saga does provide a fascinating subplot. No, I am referring to his gratuitous lies. I attempted to correct some of them, and my corrections were censored out of existence.

Whose gratuitous lies, nephew, Mr. Scratch?

Yes. his.

Would you like to correct them here? I mean in this thread. I mean like right now. I mean like do it.

Jersey Girl

Been there, done that. The corrections disappear (as in, get buried with the passage of time and the addition of new posts) while the original lies stay in place.

I really don't care what this gang of haters think of me, or what kind of lies they tell. In fact, I've come to regard it as something of a badge of honour; they lie about the GA's and DCP, so I'm happy to be included in that club.

But I am interested in discussing what "freedom of speech" actually means in this context.

It is gratifying to know that this little coner of the blogsphere is not reserved for anti-Mormons; but whether in fact I want to lend it legitimacy (or taint myself by association with it) is another question entirely.

Pahoran

Pahoran,

All comments are subject to thread burial. You know that. Along with them are the comments you see as lies. If not, where are they? Are they in the blogs? If they are in the blogs then start a new thread topic to address them.

Do you remember when posters began protesting against real life names being mentioned in Mr. Scratch's blog? I started a thread here in this forum to try to help with that. After some dialogue, Mr. Scratch deleted the real life names that he had posted.

What more can I do for you than that?

Whatever else you may think of me, I do try to help. Some people might see it as being a busy body but I think it's important to step up to the plate now and then.

I would do it for anyone on this board regardless of past history or what I think of their position. I would just as easily do it for myself and have.

When I started posting on Shades original board, someone registered under my regular screen names either so I couldn't post or so they could "pose" as me. Another poster with whom I was well familiar and considered a friend, started posting to me using various sock puppets. I have been banned from FAIR and then banned from MAD for what reason I don't know. I was banned and then reinstated from ZLMB for what I felt were skewed reasons. I feel I have been screwed with time and time again and sometimes by people who claimed friendship with me. Don't get me started on this.

Still, I would give you a fair shake.

Make a new thread with your issues. What else can be done? Are you going to harp on it for another year or so without trying to address the issues? If people here are making false accusations regarding anyone, what good is it if you refuse to confront it?

You are free to confront anyone on this board. Just do it.

"Just do it" was on a plaque on his desk.

Here Pahoran, is a link to the thread I started about the real life names and please note the date that I started the thread.

http://mormondiscussions.com/discuss/viewtopic.php?t=89&start=0

Wanna know what I got for that? A person who claimed to be my friend talking to me through yet another sock puppet on ZLMB as arrogantly and disrespectfully as all get out. Obviously someone who didn't bother to actually read and follow what was going on here. Did I mention the lies of the moderator there?

Pahoran,

Here's another tidbit of information for you, nephew and I'd like Shades to confirm or deny this. On Shades previous board to this one that we're posting on, there was a well known TBM poster posting under a different screen name and posting somewhat critical of the church, expressing doubt. Another well known poster (using their well known screen name) asked the person outright if they were the same person and used their well known screen name. I contacted Shades and asked him to get the poster to remove the person's name because I knew who it was and knew they wished to remain anonymous. I didn't ask Shades to do it, you understand? Shades took me at my word and took what I felt to be extraordinary measures to contact the poster and told them that I requested that they remove the name. And they did. I have had nothing but the utmost respect for Shades integrity since that event.

So tell your sock puppet friends that what I did on behalf of harmony over on ZLMB, I did long before on behalf of a TBM as well, and so did Shades. And I did it in response to the names posted on Mr. Scratch's blog.

Shades would you confirm or deny that?

As I see it, Pahoran, you have two choices before you. Get back on the horse or get off it. If I can, you can too.

p.s. If anyone PM's me for the person's identity, you won't get it.

I confirm it.

Thank you, Shades. And there you have it, Pahoran. You can call that another lie if you'd like however, I know better.

So far as I'm concerned, Shades and I both, acted on principle each and every time. First the TBM poster who wished to remain anonymous, then on behalf of harmony who wished to remain anonymous and then the names were removed from Mr. Scratch's blog because the Z sock puppets complained on your behalf and Juliann's.

So what exactly is your beef? Did you have so called "friends" talking to you snidlely through sock puppets?

I did.

Did you get banned from a board when you weren't actively posting on it?

I did.

Did you have a ZLMB moderator publicly imply that the many of the Z sock puppets shared your IP address (to make it look as if you were one of them) when in PM's the same moderator claimed they all had different IP addresses?

I did.

Did you have a so called "friend" take part in it while hiding behind a sock puppet and watch it go down?

I did.

Did you have a ZLMB moderator contradict themselves publicly about the circumstances of your reinstatement by distorting fact?

I did.

You are most free to call this a "gang of haters", Pahoran, however if you were to say the same on FAIR/MAD you would be accused of "whining" and quickly shown the door. Post all the complaints you like here and challenge anyone you wish. Only don't act as if you or your fellow FAIR/MAD-ites are the only persons who have been wronged, maligned or persecuted. Here you are free to challenge without being directed to an exit sign.

There are people on this board who would go to bat for the anonymity of anyone, unlike those whose lackwit, unprincipled and cowardly response is creating a rag like the Itchy Blog.

Challenge all you like. Create your own blog if you like. You are free to go about here and post at will. If you want to go to bat for Daniel or anyone else whom you feel has been misrepresented on the boards, then do it. Heck, *I"ve* gone to bat for Daniel a time or two myself!

The splitting that you engage in when describing this board doesn't cut it with me. What else could you possibly want than a place to speak freely as you wish to any topic or person that you wish? A board with one entrance and no exit except that which you choose for yourself. Imagine that, eh?

Speaking from experience as one who has been nose to nose with you, Pahoran, you were made for a board like this. Why not fly?

Start a thread about freedom of speech as you wish and let's get on with it.
