However there is, sadly, an element of truth in your words. When I first came to AOL's now defunct LDD board some years ago, despite the fact that I was "frying" critics right and left, I was accused by some who I thought were fellow TBM's of being gay within a week, and that despite my outspoken arguments against that deep, dark, and abominable lifetsyle choice.

The MA&D moderators have set their board up so that links from here to there do not work. It's their narcissistic and passive-agressive way of punishing us for our mere existence. Ergo, you'll have to copy-&-paste the link into a new browser window.

The links to the MAD (Fomerly FAIR) board don't work on this board due to some sort of reverse voodoo curse ;-) that board put on their links in an effort to keep people on this board from linking to this board. So, it's not you, my friend, it's those of us who met with disdain in the eyes of the folks who operate that board.

Abbreviations...you know the typical abbreviations such as TBM, ex-Mo and that sort of thing. RFM is the Recovery from Mormonism Board (if you want to see that board you can just search on "Recovery Board" and it will come right up. MAD is formerly FAIR, now known as Mormon Apologetics Discussion board or some such thing.

If you start reading about this drama it becomes as addictive as watching the soaps!

In my post there was a poster named "Tal Bachman". The best that I know....Tal Bachman is the son of musician Randy Bachman of Bachman Turner Over Drive and is a musician in his own right. Tal is an ex-Mormon who posts on RFM. He recently started posting on MAD and apparently made the locals somewhat nervous because they started issuing warnings from the outset and it looked like they were setting him up to ban him.

This isn't unusual for that board. They shoot at anything that looks like it might challenge them (read: make them look bad).

I welcome your presence here and if this board ever get's a threaded view some folks will see what you can do with a topic! I live for it! Unfortunately, we'd also have to pay for it and so far the only posters who have been interested in a threaded view here are myself and marg ;-) Can't imagine why!

Thanks for the information Jersey Girl. I’m not addicted. A “thread view” would be a significant improvement. It would reduce a post with multiple quotes unnecessary -- such as happened here for my short return.
