Prof. P. Continues to Attack GIMR!!!

Unbelievable. GIMR, a.k.a. "Refuge," as many know, was banned from the fittingly named MADboard yesterday. One would think that there would be a dusting off of the hands (or the feet?) about all of this, and that the banning would be the end of it. At least one would think that would be the case! Sorry, folks, 'cause it ain't so:

Really minor league stuff, but (in order to illustrate the kind of fantasies that are routinely spun about me in certain places) I've just learned on Dr. Shades's Obsession Board that I fled in terror yesterday from a poster here who called herself "Refuge" and, in desperation, had her banned. I've also discovered that I personally deleted a number of posts from "Refuge" so as to prevent her from getting in touch with another poster (a wonderful, kindly person of the type that I allegedly cannot abide).

Zounds! Why can't he just let it go? After all, she was banned! If he wants to talk things over, why not come over here, where he's just as welcome as everyone else? Anyways, in the second part of his post, he took the opportunity to take a pot-shot at Rollo and myself:

But it will be well received on Dr. Shades's Obsession Board, where, for example, I'm continually and falsely depicted by two of the most vocal posters as a leading orchestrator -- self-admitted, no less! -- of a vicious and unethical (and wholly imaginary) smear campaign against the former LDS historian Mike Quinn. Ironically, these two post under pseudonyms.

There's nothing "imaginary" about it, I'm afraid. A simple search of the MAD archives will turn up DCP's numerous attacks on Quinn's scholarship, and his moral fiber. Obviously, the Good Professor dislikes us talking about this because it is an example of his sins being exposed to the light of day.

I would say that it's the part about 'repentance,' Harmony, and not being prideful. Many of the apologists, I've noticed, hate it very, very much when they are shown to be wrong, and getting them to own up to their mistakes is excruciatingly difficult.

I don't understand why they would apparently delete a message from GIMR's friend, Koakaipo. Koakaipo has never said anything offensive or even questionable.

Yes, and what is further bizarre about the moderator statements on the post was that they were referring in a somewhat nasty way to a "Hallmark Store", or something to that effect. What was up with that? I didn't get a chance to see what the post said before they deleted it, but I assume it was either a post supportive of GIMR.... How odd that the mods would jettison something so benign as that!

Huh. Well, I guess it just goes to show how far the moderators will go to defend their beloved Professor. And, you know, DCP's pooh-poohing of our pointing out this mod protection is bunko, in my opinion. He likes to claim that the fact that he gets in the last word on controversial threads is "mere coincidence," but I beg to differ. One of these days, I may compile a list of the many, many times this has happened, so that people can judge for themselves whether or not this is "mere coincidence." It has happened at least a dozen times that I can think of within the past year or so.

The main reason IMSO, why he won't come over to Post here is, because this Message Board is a Free Speech Message Board where all Points of view are welcome, and he will Not be able to get the special treatment and the special protection from the Moderators here, like he does get from the Moderators at the MA&D Message Board. He is though more than welcome to come and Post Messages on this Message Board over here, but I doubt that he everwill, because he seems to love and enjoy very much to get the special treatment and the special privileges that he gets while Posting Messages on the MA&D Board.

Some people would rather hide behind a wall and shout bad things over the wall than climb the wall and confront the person face to face and person to person. GIMR is not a coward and she will not Shut Up and Sing. At least she better not.

Prof. P is a coward and a few other things I could name, but I will not stoop to his level, but I would clmb the wall and face him face to face because I am not a COWARD, neither is GIMR.
