Juliann's Latest post about me on MAD
I'll make one other comment about this whole mess, and then I hope we can put this behind us. I am truly glad that I did "infiltrate" Shades board. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have met some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of communicating with on the Internet: Shades, Kevin, Who Knows, Harmony, Truth Dancer, Scratch, Bond, GIMR, Rollo, Moksha, Jersey Girl, Gaz, The Dude, BC, Beastie....OK...I'm going to end up naming the whole board. LOL
Thanks, guys! (GROUP HUG)

I was wondering where Dadof7 went.
Dadof7 was spending a lot of time on FAIR because he had been laid off from his job. I'm happy to report that he has a new job in the HR field, and now again has a "real life". LOL
His lack of posting on the FAIR/MAD boards is, I'm sure, due to the fact that he is busy in his new job.

Many people, myself including, viewed Dadof7 as a nice guy, and enjoyed exchanging posts with him. However, I have since come to see him as a two-faced jerk. By process of elimination, he must be the most unfair moderator of all-time on the ironically named FAIRboard: Nomos. This was the Mod who both queued and banned me---without giving me the opportunity to defend myself, I might add, and for that he has earned a place in my Black Book. Another thing: I clearly remember Nomos scolding Dadof7 in a thread that was supposed to be only for women. Thus, he was talking to himself: clearly a violation of the ostensible mod rules. I wish I could still think of Dadof7/DaddyMO as a good guy, but his hypocrisy (oh, and did I mention he is a shunner in the classic TBM tradition?) is just too much to bear.

It is touching that you expect so much more from us than you do from yourselves. Meanwhile we have seen porn, vulgarity and just about everything defended on MDB as long as it is done about or to the right people. Truth is stranger than fiction.
I expect enough from any decent person to keep personal messages private.
If you don't like what is said on MD, why do you go there? More importantly, why drag it to this board? If you've got something to say, log in and say it. Mormon Discussions is our board. Our community. If we defend porn or vulgarity what's it to you? Until you start posting there you're opinion is just that, your opinion, and if you don't have the guts to talk to people's faces you can keep your opinion to yourself.
You act like you want to censor the entire Internet, or at least the part that has anything negative to say about your religion. Well guess what, you aren't God. You don't speak for God. You aren't God's warrior and your church doesn't have the market cornered on God. If you are a representative of God's chosen people, then I honestly would rather burn in hell.
Mormon Discussions is just a message board. A place where people can go to talk about whatever they want or say whatever they want concerning Mormonism. You take these boards too seriously. I pity you and the tiny world you live in.
I quit this board. Goodbye to all the good posters.
Bond
This is my last MAD post. I figure it'll probably get deleted and me banned so I'm posting it here so that my friends on this board can read what I wrote. If they don't ban me I quit.
An eloquent and plangent post, Bond. We are lucky to have such a stand-up guy on this board! Bravo!

It has already been demonstrated that the MAD moderator is a liar. I proved this on my forum during the first week of his commission.
About a year ago I was informed that I could not use citations from other people without their permission, especially in my signature line. I was told to remove signatures from Tradd and DCP. Yet, I noticed a week ago Juliann has decided to cite me not once, but twice in her signature line. Apparently she thinks she is mitigating those statements by pretending they are humorous to her.
Juliann is truly a glutton for punishment. I was getting all kinds of grief from posters throughout 2006 because she was so depressed as a result of me being "too hard" on her, and in my absence she is now egging me on, again. I have enough saved posts from a dozen or so discussions, to solidify Juliann's reputation as the biggest fool FAIR has ever employed. Does she really want to invoke my interest in seeing her eat crow again?
The reason I was driven away from apologetics was because I lost respect for the company I was in. It was a slow, gradual process in the beginning, but my experience with Juliann gave it a violent shove into overdrive. She has the effect on many, apparently.
Hoo boy... For some perhaps sadistic reason, I cannot stop laughing about this. LOL!!!

Dadof7 really is basically a good guy. You have to understand that when we were banning folks, it literally went through committee. Although I wasn't a Mod yet, when you were banned. judging by the pressure certain "underling" Mods were placed under to ban folks, I'm not surprised he took that type of action.

"went through committee"? I would like to know more about this. Can you tell us some more details? For example, which posters were you "pressured" to ban? Who did this committee consist of, and what do you think was likely said leading up to my queueing/banning? A final thing: I often felt that I was essentially being "followed" by Nomos on FAIR, so I'm not so sure if this truly was a "committee decision." Rather, I think that Dadof7 is just a hypocrite who wanted to boot a critic he didn't like.

OK...when I was a Mod, there were six of us who were moderators on the Admin Team. Remember the threads that Juliann quoted from? This was part of a series of threads that were open for Moderators only. You could only see/participate in the threads if you were logged in under your Moderator sign-on. (Just like the Pundit thread is run now)
There was a specific thread that was dedicated to Moderator actions which included suspensions, bannings, IP address blockings, etc.
If a Mod decided to ban someone, block an IP address, Q someone, etc., they needed to post their action on this specific thread.
There were also critics who were being "watched" who were discussed in these threads. It was very common for Jan, Juliann and Dan to make their feelings strongly known who should be banned...who was "pushing things", etc. Kevin may have felt some "peer pressure" when he saw what was happening to go ahead and ban you rather than cue you.
Like I said, I was not a Mod at the time that you were banned. I came on board about a month after that, so I'm speculating. But I don't think their process was a whole lot different before I came on board.

Does she also do this on Google?
I have no knowledge of that, moksha. Apparently she uses the search feature here to root out obscenities and finds that more interesting then "slogging" her way through the threads to read the discussions here. Fun, no?
Jersey Girl
I was merely wondering if this was some sort of logical grouping that others may have tried as well on the various search engines thoughout the world wide web. Why limit it to just here? I suppose getting a hit for typing in "@%^!0#' Peterson" could present some fun, even if you had seen that page previously on the BYU site.

I guess I should post something on this matter.
Going back and reading my post, I'm suprised how clean that it was considering how mad I was. I was seriously pissed that someone was posting personal messages (I'm assuming without permission) and being such a petty chickensh*t. Not to mention attacking a cyberfriend of mine (Liz) who is one of my favorite posters on this board. Then that demeaning post about "how touching" it was that I expect more from them than from the posters here really set me off. I expect all people to keep personal words personal until permission is given to release them (unless it's something like a bomb threat or something that requires outside authority).
After a day of reflection I probably could have let it go and kept posting, but I'm not one to take crap from much of anyone, particularly when that person is attacking people who can't defend themself. I don't know if I got banned (I guess not or someone would have said so on this thread probably) and I don't know how they chewed up my post. To quote Rhett Butler, "Frankly my dear I don't give a damn."
Bond
Edit: The more important question of course is does Shades do my MAD obituary (message board suicide?) or does Scratch do my profile (when he gets down to #231 when my turn comes of course).
