THEY GROW UP SO FAST.

IN PHOENIX...CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES MAY BEEN FILED AGAINST...
A TWELVE YEAR OLD...GIRL.

SHE USED A CELLPHONE CAMERA TO PHOTOGRAPH HERSELF—
QUOTING POLICE—“BELOW THE WAIST.”

THEN—FOR FUN—SHE E-MAILED THE SHOT TO AT LEAST TEN
OF HER FELLOW MIDDLE-SCHOOL STUDENTS.

WE HEAR SHE ALSO GAVE THE PICTURE A SPICY LITTLE CAPTION.

SHE’S NOW BEEN SUSPENDED,
WHILE POLICE CONSIDER CRIMINAL CHARGES.

THE CELLPHONE CAMERA, BY THE WAY,
BELONGS TO AN ELEVEN YEAR OLD.

This is getting a bit out of hand. You can be busted for child porn even if its YOU who took them of YOURSELF!

I think the difference is that the girl was distributing the photos to others.

This thread is worthless without the source article. Cursory Google-Fu for "12 Year Old Girl Charged With Child Pornography, Phoenix, AZ" didn't match any articles on the first three pages. In fact, the closest to the age I could find was a case involving a 14 year old girl sending pictures to her fifteen year old boyfriend.

As to the charges... The suspect is a 12 year old and apperently everyone she sent the picture/s too were also minors. Worst that will happen is she'd get a stern talking to with nothing added to a preminent record.

Much ado about nada.
