How did I know Pahoran and Juliann's names prior to Scratch posting them?

In the same way I knew them. Your point?

and what way was that?

I discovered Juliann's name from the FAIR website. I first learned of Pahoran's real name in an email from Brent Metcalfe about four years ago. What happened on Z, and who revealed what is not relevant. Dr. Shades' real name was also on Z. Does that have any relevance to his current preferences, which he has had for a long time now? When did you ever see Juliann or Pahoran use their real names on FAIR/MAD in the last three years?

This is quite a dumb statement. juliann used to routinely brag about her enrollment status at CGU. A simple google search of "juliann Mormon CGU" turns up her full name in a matter of seconds.

Also: both juliann and Pahoran were likely approvers of/contributors to the Mr. Itchy blog.

You are not denouncing him on MAD either.

Even after the names were removed, Ray, the Z trolls continued on. The Itchy Blog came online.

Do you think that was appropriate? If so, how was it appropriate?

Questions about the Itchy blog (since it was before my time I guess).

1) Did anyone's real name besides Shades get released?

2) Has Shades ever connected his real name to anything LDS online?

Here's another comment because I'm too lazy to edit my previous post.

When Scratch learned of the complaint...

he removed the names.

When the Z trolls were continuing on and a few posters complained...

the mods did NOTHING.

When EZ legal stepped in....

the mods banned the complainers!

So let's look at that again...

Trolls on Z complained about Scratch's name inclusion
I let him know...they get the names removed

Posters on Z complained about the name inclusion on the part of Z trolls
The names stay up until legal steps in...

and the posters get banned.

What's wrong with this picture, eh?

MG: nice try Ray. You gave it your best shot. I've enjoyed reading your responses in this thread. Thanks for spending the time doing so.

Scratch (whoever he is) will literally wear out a good portion of his life doing what he does if he continues doing so, but will see absolutely no change take place in the LDS church as a result of the man hours spent incessantly punching keys on his keyboard with the hope that this effort on his part will change the church in any noticeable way. His is a lost cause, so no worries. Of course, no one can convince him of that. So tap away Scratch!

Beastie seems well on her way to doing the same thing.

Opposition in all things.

A quote that I quite appreciate from Joseph Smith, which also happens/happened to be one of Eugene England's favorites: "By proving contraries, the truth is made manifest."

Scratch provides that healthy tension/struggle between contrary opinions so that the truth is made manifest. He's doing what he's supposed to do. He may consider what he does to be some kind of a calling.

If so, he may well be right for once.

by the way, Ray, hope things are going well for you. I've enjoyed reading your contributions on various online venues over the last number of years. You have a balanced view.

Do I think the Itchy blog was appropriate? No. And I said so on this forum. I said that neither Itchy's nor Scratch's blog was appropriate, because they were both getting into sensitive areas of people's personal lives. If you run a person down for all the world to see, then post their real names, how can you justify that? What if I had posted all the things I thought were bad about Shades, and then posted his real name in the same blog? You attack a person, then post their real name?

The Itchy blog was a response to the Scatch blog, it was a parody, and in case you missed that point, it was to show how offensive Scatch's blog was. Then all the screams went up? HOW could Itchy do this? This is WRONG. Yes, it suddenly becomes wrong when a TBM does it, bt not ONE word of complaint about Scratch's blog from here!

I felt they were both going beyond the borders of good taste.

What sort of complaint, Ray, would you like to see about Scratch's blog? That he used the real life names that the people themselves linked to themselves publicly and when they complained he removed their names?

Have you seen Scratch refer to the family members of posters on his blog by name? How about their location?

Which "sensitive areas"? If you mean the in real life names, then you are full of it, because I removed the names as soon as I was asked to. Beyond that, I have only posted material which was posted on FAIR/MAD by the posters themselves.

Itchy's blog went well beyond anything I ever did, Ray. For one thing, I have never posted private IP information about anyone, unlike Itchy. (Information which, I might add, had to have been leaked by the administrators at MAD/FAIR.)

If you run a person down for all the world to see, then post their real names, how can you justify that? What if I had posted all the things I thought were bad about Shades, and then posted his real name in the same blog? You attack a person, then post their real name?

That's not how it happened, Ray. And you will find no in real life names of people who do not use them in my blog.

The Itchy blog was a response to the Scatch blog, it was a parody,

No. It went well beyond mere "parody." It was far, far more vicious than anything I have ever done.

and in case you missed that point, it was to show how offensive Scatch's blog was.

Where is the offense? I have maintained a standing offer to discuss revisions with anyone who is offended by the blog. So far, only Pahoran and Dadof7 have taken me up on my offer, and I made emendations to both of their entries.

Then all the screams went up? HOW could Itchy do this? This is WRONG. Yes, it suddenly becomes wrong when a TBM

TBMs deserve to be held to higher standards.

does it, bt not ONE word of complaint about Scratch's blog from here!

I felt they were both going beyond the borders of good taste.

Are you illiterate? Jersey Girl herself brought the complaints to this board, and I made the concessions immediately. You really are struggling here, mate.

I'm afraid you still don't get it, and I doubt you will.
