You're right, "cesspool" is the one more commonly used to refer to this board. It's also referred to as the "sty". I think there are more names than I can count.
Some of the people who attack Don Imus don't have college degrees. Others don't have doctorates. Others don't have relevant doctorate in a subject such as Arabic. Others claim to be taking graduate courses but have never gotten an advanced degree. Other claim to have a doctorate but don't. The fact that all these people attack DI mean that he didn't do anything wrong.

I'm rather comfortable in this cesspool of a board. I've changed my avatar to hip boots to reflect my loyalty to MDB.

You anti-imusites should crawl back to your Howard Stern where you belong. FM is for Families since it has many of the same letters - not your Sirius Satellite System, which has a bunch of big Ss. This proves he is true.
I know this was intended to be a humorous thread but I'd like to add a somewhat serious comment. Since this thread was posted, Imus was fired from his job and Governor Corzine from New Jersey was critically injured in a car accident on the GSP on his way to a meeting with...
Don Imus.
Hmmmm.....

I am no fan of Don Imus, I tried listening a few times and was bored to tears.
But Imus is no racist, he said what he said to be entertaining, LIke Chris Rock when he says racist things to be funny.
Imus is well known for his charities, including a cowboy ranch for kids who are diagnosed with life threatening illnesses. He also works alot with cancer patients, and gives generously of his own monies to these things.
This is really some strange witch hunt I don't understand.

I saw him on MSNBC a couple of times early in the morning and couldn't figure out why I was supposed to be interested in this guy, so I quickly turned it off. As for the idea that he said what he said to be entertaining, I'm scratching my head as to why calling people names is supposed to be entertaining.
