For Coggins

Post by _Jason Bourne »

I did not want Coggins to miss my last post to him in the thread on mothers and working, etc. I do this for him because he has been a hit and run poster lately and taken a lot of viscous jabs at me. So I hope he at least sees my last comments to him.

For you Coggins:

I love you too brother.

But don't worry. I really do not think I am going anywhere. Are you disappointed?

I am curious though what angers you so in my post here. I just shared an Ensign article that shows the Church promotes women staying home and not visa versa. I do not even think I said that was bad.

I have figured your taunts and nastiness towards me are really a revelation that your pompous act of piety and self righteousness is all an act to cover your own insecurities. It seems rather than interact and politely discuss things you now stoop to belittling me in all your comments to me. So be it.
I have enough experience with people in the Church to know this and to know that you really a rather insecure little man. You try to cover that with your blusters. Thank God that you really represent a small a part of what it means to be a Latter day Saint. I would take Harmony over you any day dude because while she may rail against the institution I believe she would give anyone in need the shirt of her back. And that is one of the attributes of a true disciple of Christ. You sir, do not seem to possess many of those attributes. If you did you would be reaching out to those you think are losing their way. You may need to reprove such at times with some sharpness but you would show them love afterwards. However, you are just plain mean, insulting and nasty.

But I still love you as a brother in the gospel and see you really need lots of love.

Take care.

Cogs, you have to admit you're not exactly the best at caring for the sick in the flock, are you? Is it LDS practice to shoot the wounded?

It is not really but I have noticed sever hostility from a few so called apologists and defenders like Coggins.

Coggins, I anxiously await for your response. I am praying that you can get your anger and vitirol under control.

I suspect we all have our own weaknesses. I've seen severe hostility from all sides over the years. Coggins doesn't have a monopoly on vitriol.

As we used to say in So. Cal: we just need to mellow out a little.

I agree Runtu, but in the past four weeks or so any post Coggins makes to me is a mean viscious comment and I am wondering why he cannot seem to just discuss the issues I bring up rather then make constant personal attacks. I want an answer from him because I am tired of it.

I completely understand, having been the target of his venom before. There's no need for such hate, and you should be tired of it. I am too.

The church needs to de-humanize apostates lest the members drop their guard around them.

So it's no real wonder that Coggins7 has bought into the dehumanization. It's merely the way he's been taught to think. And with dehumanization naturally comes insults and vitriol.

A + B = C.

One more reason why we know the church is not led by Christ, but by men. And Loran doesn't just attack apostates; he attacks anyone he perceives as being less orthodox than himself. Members are fair game to Loran. He, like so many apologists, just comes unglued at the idea of a member in good standing who doesn't idolize and revere Joseph Smith.

Yep, this is the real dehumanization I worry about. Again, it happens on both sides. For every black-hearted apostate, there's a deluded Mormon dupe.
