No, I've always been afraid of LDS, even as a wild teenager. One of my friends convinced me to share some "tab" or whatever you call it at a concert once, and not much happened. Smells were more intense, that was about it. I was relieved, I was so scared of the stuff, deep down. (yes, this was before Nancy Reagan helped us all with Just Say NO!)
If shrooms were less potentially dangerous, though, I'd consider it.
I had read several times about experiments some folks were doing to try to induce out of body experiences, and there used to be a site not far from where I live that did so. (things like sensory deprivation tanks with rhythmic sounds, If I recall correctly) I tried to find information to see if I could volunteer to be a guinea pig, but I never could locate them, I think they must have shut down. Or maybe they were all out of their bodies. ;)
The thread actually has turned out quite interesting, although not much in the way of believer participation.

We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

beastie, beastie, I know for a FACT that you've tried LDS. LSD, maybe not. But you test positive for former LDS use.
LOL! You know that TOTALLY escaped me. WHOOSH.
Must be time for bed.

It also reduces weight, increases fitness, and is guaranteed to raise your income. Call now!
Seriously, I would check up on that report. I suspect it wasn't quite that laudatory.

*sigh* Ahhh... the voice of drug ignorance.
How did I know that was coming?
Actually, with respect to the dangers of acid vs shrooms, I've always regarded psilocybin the more dangerous substance, given what I heard it does (reduces the size of you hemoglobin restricting a certain amount of oxygen to the brain - but I don't think this is true). After doing a bit of research, it seems it acts simply as a partial agonist for the serotonin receptor in the brain, similar to what LSD and certain types of prescription antidepressants do.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

It is not 'the voice of drug ignorance'.

Because you've read my previous posts, and made the same prejudiced and bigoted comments about them also. If you have any evidence that 'Under controlled situations, apparently dropping acid helps one understand and resolve problematic life issues in practically one fell swoop, versus years of stalled therapy', please provide it. Otherwise, you're the one speaking out of ignorance.

I was thinking of my "I never met a shoe I didn't like" mother, to whom shoes hold an allure equaled only by good chocolate. Or to my "these boots are made for me" sister, who has more pairs of handmade cowboy boots than the average Texas bootmaker, probably because her in-laws are Texas bootmakers. Or to my "what do you mean, flip flops aren't appropriate for church, funerals, fancy restaurants, and the work place?" daughter, who never met a flip flop she didn't like as long as it was plastic and blue. Or to my "a new pair of shoes every day" staff partner, whose clothes budget equals my mortgage. Or my "what do you mean lime green isn't a shoe color" cubicle mate.
Because, well, you know what they say about shoes!

Well to bring it back to the OP, I just finished reading through the rest of The Dude's LSD thread over on the MAD board. Again, kudos to him for patience. I'da been outta there at the first bad analogy (projectors, transmisions, broadcasts).
And thanks to you all, I had to Google 'Nehor' and step in a puddle of mormom-wiki for an explanation. So, what, he's a lesser Korihor? Is "hor" a reformed Egyptian suffix meaning "bad guy?"
