Are you deliberately distorting what I've been saying? You know full well that I have found some of the behavior on RFM to be irrational - and if someone there focused on DCP the way you have on me, I can understand his being troubled by that one individual.

One more time - I have never denied that some exmormons behave very badly. How many times do I have to repeat it before you finally listen?

I have said that you are a hypocrite to demand that exmormons just accept this bad behavior on part of Mormons, including their leaders speaking in the name of Jesus Christ, because, I suppose, we deserve it in some way. "Wear It." Doesn't 'that sound familiar, Ray? At the same time, you insist on portraying RFM in general as a hate site of Lutherites inspiring future acts of violence when the reality is that when you mix up the pejoratives each side has called the other - there is absolutely no qualitative difference between the two.

But, according to you, one side is supposed to "wear it", and the other side gets to rant and rave about evil attacks.

Looks like my "demo" did work after all. The double standards are hypocritically obvious.

Your "demo". LOL. You must think I, and others who have wasted time following this train wreck (and going by the views of this thread, that is quite a few) have short term memory problems.

But the majority of posters on either side do not engage in this behavior, and it is not fair to lump them all in one pile. Yet lumping them all in one pile is what critics of RFM almost always do. You, or others who harp on it constantly, claim that you're not so obsessed that you're constantly reading threads over there, and yet, at the same time, you claim that you're qualified to make generalizations about the posters. If I wanted to do a search specific for offensive or stupid things that believers say, do you doubt for one minute that I would succeed? Then I could string them together and act as if this justified over-generalizing.

Sure, you mean like this?:

Oh, and by the way, for those of you shocked that Ray called me a b****, you obviously have not read the thread in question (shout out to renegade). That is just one of many vulgarities and personal attacks Ray has launched at me and others. His behavior has gone beyond anything I have ever previously witnessed, on any board. His behavior is irrational and frightening.

Thank god I don't use my real name on the internet. Ray is exactly the type of person I would NOT want knowing that information.

My behaviour is "irrational and frightening" and the behaviour of RFMers is not. They are just "venting". Beastie has never said, anywhere, to my knowledge, that RFM behaviour is "irrational and frightening". It's only when an "apologist" calls her a B**** it becomes frightening.

Looks like my "demo" did work after all. The double standards are hypocritically obvious.

I see nowhere in her comments where beastie indicated that your behavior became "frightening" when an apologist (do you consider yourself an apologist) called her a bitch. What demo? What on earth are you talking about? All you've done here is make yourself look like a raving loon, Ray. Your sense of some higher purpose has clearly slipped the surly bonds.

Jersey Girl, do some more reading.

Sincerely,

Asshat. (I haven't screwed myself yet, though)

Ray,

I've read these threads as they've taken place. And yes you are an asshat and yes you probably should screw yourself (the sooner the better) it might settle you down some.

What "train wreck"? I have no idea what you're on about.

I'm afraid I don't see the irony. Care to explain?

I did say I never use my real name on internet boards because I am not comfortable with some people knowing this information. On every board I've ever been on, there have been at least one or two wingnuts that I'd rather not be able to track down my phone number. Ray is an example of such a person. I have found his remarks towards me to be irrational and frightening. He clearly views me as someone who is participating in the Lutherite hate speech that future Nazis will use to attack Mormons. He views "angry exmormons" as inspired by satan, and the personification of evil. He does not present himself as an emotionally stable person. I think I am very justified in my reaction to him. Nor would I have a problem with a believer who had been so targeted by one apparently unstable person not wanting that person to have their personal information, either.

What I have a problem with is Ray's broad brush, his painting as RFMers in general as responsible for the acts of individual wingnuts because they have attacked Mormonism.

I have no doubt you have no idea what I'm on about. And let me say that it is far more than you calling me a b**** that bothers me about your behavior. It is your inclination to go on these periodic rants, with varying targets, in combination with other statements about my "sexiness" and "winning your heart", etc etc.

I do not believe you are representative of most believers. But I do think your behavior and arguments on this thread provide a good rebuttal to those who accuse "angry exmormons" of being hate mongers.

What better rebuttal can you get than a believer admitting that Mormonism has ingrained bigotry against apostates, so ingrained it could never change, but we should just "wear it"? What better rebuttal than seeing a long list of mutual pejoratives and realizing there is no way to separate insults by group? And all wrapped up in the irony of "Porter Rockwell".
