Congratulations to VEGASREFUGEE for achieving Godhood!

Post by _Dr. Shades »

You all saw it coming: On Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at exactly 8:07 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, our very own VegasRefugee worked out his salvation and was crowned with his mantle of eternal glory, a.k.a. exaltation, a.k.a. godhood!

That's right, VegasRefugee himself, lightning rod of controversy, object of frequent scorn from MA&Dites, earned his exaltation, thus proving that God (or at least this message board) is no respecter of persons and that salvation is freely available to all--after all that you can do.

As always, if anyone has anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy to say about VegasRefugee, now is the time and this is the place to do so.

Well, VegasRefugee? SPEECH!! SPEECH!!
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

A memorable quote from Ghostbusters:

"Are you a God?"

"No."

"Then....DIE!"

"If someone asks if you're a God, say YES!"

I use this quote because it is well-known that Vegas finds the whole God concept a fairy-tale.

But...using the wisdom of "Ghostbusters", Vegas, have fun and go with it! LOL

Congrats! Welcome to the ranks of the exalted!

Love ya, Vegas!

Hmmm. Now Vegas has to believe in God because he's God. Congratulations!

I've often wondered what it'd mean if God were an atheist.

My first and only act as a Deity will be a very odd change for me. It is my opinion that the anonymous nature of this and other forms of communication on the internet is going to bring the downfall of many scams, front groups and even political organizations. It is in anonymity that we can gather here as a community and discuss these things.

It is out of silence and inability to speak out that we emerge from once we leave Mormonism. It is hate and imbalanced boundaries we leave behind as the former tithe serf discovers mainstream life in a non destructive culture. The feeling one gets the first time one does not feel a guilt trip into not going to the three hour reprogramming and conditioning ceremony. Dry useless meetings followed or proceeded by ...

im sorry, im watching the second 2 hours of the Frontline/american experience and I just heard hinkley speaking, thus im now swallowing back a little vomit.

...anyways...

Attending church is boring and utterly useless, yadayadayada.

Anyways, the change I request in full public view (to avoid any sock puppetry) is a name change. I want a new name Damnit!

So since I'm a God, I am taking the name of a God, one I use in other circles, the name Mercury.

Beyond that I still expect the train of celestial wives.

Shades, Keene, Porter, Hyrum Moriancumer, Jersey, Runtu, Bond, JB...you guys are great!

There are a ton of people im leaving out and I want you to call me out for forgetting you. But I want to make this quick so y'all can get back to singing my praises, hehe.

So here I am 2 years after leaving Mormonism behind. My name is still in their records and technically I am just a wayward inactive, at least in their mind. Leaving Mormonism freed me of fake guilt. It changed me drastically for the better. I recommend departure from Mormonism to every Mormon.

There is SO MUCH more to say about the topics we discuss.

Drop Shades a PM concerning a name change...if you want "VegasRefugee" to become "Mercury" you may also want to change "God" to "a.k.a. VegasRefugee" or whatever you want. You're a God now! Throw around some of your powers!

Welcome to the clan...and you better thank Liz or she'll moderate your ace. Congrats!

I, for one, am heartbroken that you overlooked me, Vegas. After all we have been through together!

An appropriate musical tribute for the God known as Vegasrefugee:
