I think his name was David Wrong. No, wait, it was David Stewart.
I couldn't remember, and I wasn't going to go over and look. Not worth it. Thanks for the correction. So much for my Divine Infallibility.
I'm afraid I don't understand the concept of having "the last word" as relevant to message boards. Threads die a natural death and the last post has little if nothing at all to do with having "the last word".

Just kidding.
I would like to be petty. I can be petty. I've been known to be petty but seriously, the absurdity of the claim of havng "the last word" on a message board simply robs me of my pettiness.

I was curious to venture out of the confines of MADB where I feel all snugg and safe like I am wrapped up in cotten wool and contribute to a thread on the anti-mormon board 'Mormon Discussions'. The thread I contributed to was "Welcome question for Shirts: Where is the stone box?"
However after I with great regret informed them that the stone box containing the Golden Plates had actually been discovered albeit empty and it's in the historical record the thread, sort of went around in circles then down a tangent. I informed them I had to tell them because if I didn't someone else would without being so gentle.
However the thing I noticed was that they wouldn't allow a TBM to have the last word on the thread, so I decided to make this thread my little sort of experimental hobby horse the kind Bruce R. McConkie said we should have or something like that. So I set up camp, with sleeping bag and all deciding I would be there till the bitter end to have the last word. I wanted to see how die hard they would be on having the last word, they were quiet persistent I was fascinated. Didn't seem to matter how digressive, how far the tangent went, no matter the depth of irrelevancy, no matter how many circles the comments went in.
They seemed to be determined to have the last word. Inorder to have the last word the threads subject changed from "Welcome question for Shirts: Where is the stone box?" to what does Christ Look like, to my astral travel jaunts to the CIA Mormon Astral Traveler David Morehouse. And so far I still have the last word. I suppose if it goes on any longer I will say No to the power of 10 to whatever you say, just like I did when I was 10 and argued with my sister.
I for one am willing to let you have the last word, BA. :-)
If anyone actually read the thread (or took part in it) they'll know that BA didn't prove the box exists. He produced a quote by someone saying they saw a concrete slab...excuse me if I don't jump up and down over a single eyewitness account to a concrete slab. Show me the bloody box! BA is wrong on that one.
As to having the last word....I'm going to show up in a year and resurrect that thread....remember Bond has spoken BA.

What is so stupid about Baurak Ale's observation is that it seems entirely ignorant of the totally out of whack balance on FAIR/MAD. The critics on this board are actually able to have the last word! On MAD, the moderating team has a special gift for 'intuiting' when to put the brakes on a given thread, always magically doing so mere seconds after some apologist---notably DCP---has gotten in a final dig.
