yo, Aussies, answer me this...

This evening I took a rare and brief foray over to RfM to see what was going on, and there was a thread there about stereotypical missionary photos that was kinda funny.

Someone put in this link to YouTube:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=jwyFVhzJmww& ... ed&search=

It's of an Australian MTC class. It seems half the missionaries were flashing some signs, and one guy in particular kept flashing this sign with two fingers pointing down in a V shape, with one finger from his other hand going between and across them, almost like a capital letter A.

Is this sign an Australian thing? Anyone have an idea what that sign is supposed to mean?
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

I think it is the symbol of a 'roo fancier. We have its analog in the US with leg men, breast men, and those who enjoy plushies.

'A' for 'Australia'?
WK: "Joseph Smith asserted that the Book of Mormon peoples were the original inhabitants of the americas"
Will Schryver: "No, he didn’t." 3/19/08
Still waiting for Will to back this up...

Actually, it's an "A" for "Angle-nosh-no-go-nosh-agon-from-bromen-nosh" It's Reformed Egyptian for "Mormon" which of course means "More Good." Now, if they were to change it to an "A" followed by a "C", then you get Angle-osh-cosh-b'gosh" which is Reformed Egyptian for "Poopie Pants" wich of course means... "Poopie Pants."

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother coming over to this board. You guys really need to brush up on Mormonism if you're going to participate on a board called "Mormon Discussions." Sheesh.

My guess is that it means: "I'm really immature and my Mom hopes that a mission will get me to strighten up and fly right."

Of coarce Mr. Seuss's reply sounds well thought out. I have never studied reformed egyptian.
