Why is it when a person says hateful things about our religion and we voice our opinion, some people try to silence us instead of defend us against the horrible things that were said? So often we are guilt tripped, told our response isn't Christlike or any better than what the person said, and they seem threatened by us disgreeing with it. Do they contact people like Bill Keller and tell him he's not being Christlike?
We are humans with feelings, emotions, opinions, minds, and voices. When we are the target of hatred, we will speak up. Is it threatening when we disagree with one's actions or words? Is it wrong to disagree?
MorningStar
Now, for any of your who have read my most recent blog (the one that might have gotten me banned from MAD boards - or just being a logical thinker, or just trying to stand up for either side, or just trying to play fair, or just being honest about my apostate nature --- any one of those reasons you know since the MODS have refused to answer me just yet via email) - MorningStar and her creew either just don't get the point that I had made countless times via pm to her, on my blog (to her and Calmorouh) and on the boards OR she is purpously lying. I'll try to believe the former and that they are not lowering themselves to the standards they are so angry about their persucators being at. (Did that last part make sense?)
But here's the deal. And I explained it to both MorningStar and Calmorouh and it seemed to only tick them off further was that regardless of if they were convicted of something or not - the LDS church has instructed in various talks that LDS are to rise above, turn the other cheek, and still show love and kindness towards others. They even linked me to an article in a thread we were in that stated as much as well. Yet, here they are playing the "woe is me" card yet AGAIN because another poster and I both stated that they were going a little overboard.
Here's what I don't get over there. The same posters who got to Concerned Christians act very innocent - like Bob, the Cross, and others just bully them and they just nobly take and take and they are just so abused. And they NEVER treat anyone like that. Then they come over to MAD boards - NOT ONLY do they complain about it (I have NO ISSUE that they complain about it - they need somewhere the do this) but then they act the same exact way Bob, The Cross and company did to them to others if not worse! They get just as dirty in the mud. Hypocrites. I do not get it. Can someone explain it to me? Why is it okay for them to do it there but NOT okay for Bob and The Cross to do it to them at Concerned Christians?
Edited: To include - isn't it possible to discuss the percieved "wrongs" without slandering or creating a mob like mentality on a thread? To be respect and at the end of the day be able to sincerely go and pray for someone in accordance to God's will NOT your own? (Ie - God's will be done - not, "Please God, soften this person's heart so that they may respect Mormons better."
