However, I didn't expect it of you. How it is, though, that you would think I had pointed out anything even remotely resembling "High Machism of LDSism", is a mystery to me. But, life can be full of suprises.
Thanks, -Wade Englund-
I think the lesson here is that one person's "High Machism" is another person's "people acting selflessly in the service of their God." Dare I say that there's not always a clear distinction between the two?
Of course, as with many other things, there are the rare exceptions that may tend to blur even clear distinctions. But, I am confident that for those who apply a consistent standard across the boards (particularly as it relates to self-perceptions as compared with perceptions of others), that as a general rule they will see a clear distinction between the two.

If you can actually demonstrate how:
1) My statement proves I've lost the ability to think for myself, and
2) My statement is illogical
I'll actually consider your statement has some noticeable merit. As it stands, you sound like a schmuck/Mormon. I'm not so sure you really want to introduce the concept of logic to the conversation if you're a TBM, unless you're a sucker for punishment.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

I believe that Yong Xi's comments were "tongue in cheek".

;)
In fact, my comments were tongue in check. I was actually defending you, but I probably haven't posted enough for you to understand my style. No offense was intended.

I am not TBM.
Either way, let's just kindly strike this up to a would-be humorist ironically being humor impaired. ;-)

Meh... it's all in the delivery. Did you know he was joking, Wade? (Maybe you did if you're more familiar with his posts). He sounded to me just a bit too much like a TBM, and as a result, it lost its punch.
It's all cool, Xi. I'm actually relieved you weren't serious, for the sake of your own sanity. ;)

I'm not familiar with Xi's posts, but I did suspect that s/he was joking. Perhaps some of us are better at picking up on the "delivery" than others, either that or some of us are less prone to being humor impaired due to false stereotyping. ;-)

Are you trying to tell me you're better at humor than me? Huh? Huh? Come on man, spit it out. What are you really trying to say?
I'm throwing down the gauntlet. At high noon, it's jokes at 30 paces. Make me laugh, cowboy (well... you know... intentionally).

Well...you just made me laugh (whether intended or not). So, you win!! ;-)
