To my knowledge the only time you shouldn't wear garments is sport activities and bathing. What are others saying?

I was also told that if you are going to a non-LDS doctor for a physical exam, you should not wear your garments. (Same reasoning as sports activities)

I've been thinking about this some more and wanted to add some comments. Note to mods: if these comments put my thread into the next forum - I totally understand.

So, I took my garments off last night as an experiment. I've felt at peace about leaving my garments on because I see them as a symbol of my covenants that I plan on keeping. I also plan on keeping the WoW and things like that. (There's a blog I'm trying to write out of this but don't know how to write it respectfully enough.)

But anyways, to make a LONG story short. I've been experiencing nightmares, aches and pains, and finally mysterious multple bug bites all over the top of my back. With the exception of the nigtmares - everything is in areas that the garments cover. Finally, since I didn't know what else to try (been reading scriptures and praying) I took off the garments last night. I began to wonder - maybe God's will for is not for me to be wearing them? That's just insane that all that happened within a matter of days back to back of one another. :/

Oh, and losing the Gs was the greatest. Nothing like kickin it in some comfy boxers.

And the wife has decreased the amount of time she wears them. Score another point for the improvement in our sex life.

Excuse my little old non-LDS self for interrupting here, Selah but...I did read only your first post in this thread and now the one I'm replying to. You say that the garments are a symbol of the covenants you made. Would it be out of line or irrelevant for me to ask if the symbol of the covenants you made shouldn't be your life?

Other than that, I think you should do whatever is meaningful for you to do.

Garments .... and ... protection!

Check out these "Isabodywear Underwear" at

http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/20/isab ... radiation/

Where is the prophet on this new on this new product? You know we gotta protect those little factories.

We got guidance on the evils of two earings and tatoos, what about the evils of cell phones?

PS I especially like the statement in the article, "there's certainly a paranoid sect that will snap up anything that claims to "protect them".

I kept wearing the garments for probably too long after I left activity in the church(I'm still on the records). I usually only wore the bottoms as boxer briefs or tops as a undershirt.

Interesting enough, occasionally I would be in flagrante delicto and my date would recognize that they were garments. Sometimes she would say something or other times just later on mention it. I've since moved to regular underwear.

What a strange question. And some strange answers, too!

My youngest son has recently been potty trained. Sometimes he still has accidents (esp. at night), but we encourage him to wear underpants because it's a symbol of big-boyhood. It makes him proud. I guess if you still want to wear diapers after you are potty trained, that's an issue between you and your butt.
