Will there be diamonds?

I'm in the bucket if Bond's the blue monkey...

So which one of you can take the shape of an animal and which one gets carried around in a bucket by a blue monkey?

What in the world is this a reference to? I'm laughing my butt off without even knowing why.

I think it is from the Kinderhook plates.

Wonder Twin powers, Activate!

Lu, it's a reference to the lamest damned superhero cartoon show in the known universe and the even lamer trio of sidekicks on that show. Back 1977, the potheads at Hanna Barberra decided that a comystery* featuring a dopesmoker and his dog* was enough to make audiences say "WTF, over", so they diecided to do a low rent "Justice League" staring Batman, Superman, and Aquaman*. But they figured the subtle homoerotic overtones of Batman and his "Boy Wonder"* wasn't quite enough, so they invented the alien teenaged twin brother and sister name of Zan and Janya, a.k.a. The Wonder Twins, and their side-sidekick, a blue space monkey called "Gleek"*. Think Donny and Marie Osmond, but from space... With superpowers...

Yeah.

Anyways, Janya, the sister twin*, had the ability to take the form of various animals. Zan's power was he could turn into water. Yeah, you read that right, he turned into water. Gleek ended up carrying Zan around in a bucket every other episode. While Janya's could make herself moderately useful, Zan was only good for putting out smoldering campfires and giving Aquaman a place to swim in a desert. The friggin blue space monkey was more useful than Zan.

Behold the majestic pile of steaming mediocre that was the 1970s.

* A combination of Comedy and Mystery. Yeah, I made words up all the time. I also cheat at Scrabble.

* Scooby Doo. Think about it... Scoob and Shaggy were always stumbling around with beeedy, glassy eyes, always had the muchies, and they were paraniod as all get out. If they weren't high then Harry Carry was a tee-totaling Mormon.

*Aquaman is the most worthless superhero ever concieved. I mean, FFS, his superpowers are being able to breath under water, swims's good, and he can talk to fish. In a war between France and Aquaman, France would win by suateing Aquaman in butter and garlioc, he's that lame.

* Seriously, you'd figure by now someone in Gotham City Family Services would have been alerted to a teenage boy that shows up to school every monday with bruises and rope burns... That and Robin has what is possibly the gayest costume ever.

* I s*** thee not, Hanna Barberra's writing staff was so high they even gave the sidekicks a sidekick.

* At first glance it's hard to tell as they both look as androginous as all hell. Janya had slight bumps on it's chest suggesting breasts, so I interpert that to mean it's supposed to be female. But ehll, you can't tell with aliens... Holy Ambigiously Gay Duo, Batman!

Here's a link to some other possible gay cartoon characters.

And render our entire discussion about it moot? If you must...
by the way, I thought it was hilarious.
Too bad discarded avatars can't be saved in some sort of avatar graveyard.

Since I'm changing avatars shortly, here's the avatar people we're talking about.

Just remember, Bond, rapid-avatar-change-over leads to multiple avatar syndrome. Its a slippery slope. I should know...
