We are fed up with people who claim to be in advanced Bible studies but pretend that knowing languages doesn't give anyone an edge. Sure you can talk about the Book of Abraham without Egyptian but the minute the translation comes up the one who doesn't know the it can only parrot those who do. That is when the badmouthing starts to get rid of the Mormon expert without further ado. If you want to have a discussion here then show some respect until you know as much as those you are slandering.

John Gee and his supporters are amazing! Apparently, one can know that an ancient book(Book of Mormon) supposedly written in reformed egyptian is true merely by praying about it. However, in order to know that the Book of Abraham is true, one must be an egyptologist.

Gee added another 11 questions about Seyffarth. When I said I might prepare an answer to these questions, he added another dozen or so arbitrary Egyptology questions. And now Juliann says she's going to delete all the evasive critic posts in the thread. This is ridiculous.

Yikes. I've read through that post in its entirety. The arrogant self importance oozing from Juliann is amazing. Like now there's some sort of admissions test before anyone can post on a particular subject? Does that mean that we need to get an "apostate expert" to devise an exam for Juliann before she can spout her nonsense on the subject again? How about those who post in support of Gee's work - do they take a similar test before they are able to pull out their pom-poms?
And why the hell is Gee hiding behind Juliann's skirts?
