We should have known he was of the younger generation when he admitted a man crush on Teryl. Men of our generation are too "weird" about homosexuality to do that, in general.

The first time I posted my age over on MA&D, Bluebell was shocked as she had thought I was in my late 50's. I don't know how people develope this image of me being older. I figured my humor would make people think I was in my teens.

Wait a minute! The whole point of this thread was:

Dr. Steuss and Alby sitting in a tree!!! Tee hee!!!

K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes a man-crush, and then comes stalking, following by a restraining order... and then I sit waiting in the bushes, watching him. Watching him as he is with someone else. I could give him so much more. I could be the type of companion he never dreamed of. I could have...

Ummm... Wow, this is awkward.

Wow!

Photoshop can do wonders.

Tarski thought I was a man.

I wish he would think that of me... *sigh*

See what I mean? Steuss' generation is comfortable enough with homosexuality that they can joke about it. My generation has very few men able to do that - or maybe I've hung around the wrong crowd. We oldsters were stupid not to pick up on that.

by the way, I think this is a positive evolution, a step away from demonizing homosexuality - but of course many believers would disagree, and prefer the quasi-phobia about it.

But, really Steuss, what horrendous taste you have in men. I even posted that picture of Josh Bernstein, and you still swoon over Givens instead.

(by the way, when I was active LDS I was in the Given family's ward - meaning Teryl's parents and younger siblings. His mother is fabulous, I adored her, and most of the kids. But the dad.... well, he's passed on so I won't speak ill of the dead.)

Who says I'm joking?

Ok, I'm joking...

... or am I? (*cue sinister organ music*).

Interestingly, my mother is much more "phobic" than my dad is. I have quite a few gay and/or lesbian friends, and gladly announce when I'm going to be hanging out with them for the evening. My mother usually cringes a bit, but my dad usually just says (jokingly): "Don't get any on ya." But, I often kiss my dad on the lips** (as well as his dad -- when he was living), so perhaps this has attributed to our ability to not get the heeby-jeebies when confronted with homosexuality.

**some might cringe at the fact that I kiss my pops on the lips. Such is American culture...

My ultimate man-crush is Brad Pitt. I fell in love watching Fight Club (although there was a special with him and grizzly bears that helped solidify it). Edward Norton in American History X is another one. I don't know why there's such a shying away from men showing emotions for another man, and the whole homo-phobic thing. I can look at a guy and say whether or not he is attractive, and I wager that any other "straight" man can do the same. You put your average guy in a room with Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Matt Damon, and you can't tell me that the average guy won't know he's the ugly one in the room.

You have known the genes that produced the great Terryl? Oh how I swoon...

Yes, as more children are raised in broken homes and boys are raised by their mothers with no constant presence of a good moral man in the home, your going to see alot more Homosexuals.
