First of all, pet peeve: it's "you're" not "your."
Second, CFR on the causal relationship between "broken homes" and homosexuality.

Good grief, Gaz. That's a really dated "explanation" for homosexuality. I don't think it even survived the 50's.
But..there's something more important to address here: there really hasn't been ANY homosexuality in this thread. Its been about men feeling comfortable enough in their masculinity---their heteromasculinity---to be able to appreciate male pulchritude and jokes about "man crushes." That's a long way from queering up the joint.
From the Ernest L. Wilkinson Diaries: "ELW dreams he's spattered w/ grease. Hundreds steal his greasy pants."

I never said it was the source, just that its not helping.
See what I mean? Steuss' generation is comfortable enough with homosexuality that they can joke about it. My generation has very few men able to do that - or maybe I've hung around the wrong crowd. We oldsters were stupid not to pick up on that.
I was referencing your comment here. The conversation here is funny, and your not queering up the joint. (although in general its not making the place real butch either)

Here's my reaction to men who cannot deal with even joking about man-crushes, and react by reaffirming that "homosexuality is wrong and messed up!" (which was your reaction) -
you just aren't as comfortable and confident with your masculinity and sexuality as someone like Steuss is.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
I deal with gay humor on a constant and regular basis. If you've ever worked construction you'd know what I'm talking about. (or seen the opening credits of the movie Happy Gilmore)
I made my coment (see last comment on my last post) in regards to a specific statement made by Blixa. Sorry your all so sensitive in regards to all your Homo friends. Go get yourselves some fruity drinks at your local bar and share in a group hug and shed a few tears about it already. I'm sure you'll be fine again in no time.
Sorry to have derailed the thread.
Steuss your a handsome man.
