Wow, just catching up. Remember, these people who insist it's not reasonable to believe that the descendants of the massacred might feel something other than "sympathy pains" are the same people whose feelings are just too hurt when people malign their church leaders to allow it to happen. Calling Joseph Smith a conman just causes them too much pain to allow on their site.

And now this has become an example of an "email bomb campaign". Remember what that is? Yeah, it's when someone critical of the MAD believer position actually emails an authority or involved individual to try and get information from a primary source.

Well this little thread seems to have started another Email bomb campaign. Seems like this is going to be a trend my friends. Seems like shades board only wants open and frank discussiong on their board so their way of handling us is to shut those LDS up by calling in newspapers to show what a few LDS are saying so more misrepresentations can happen.

Um, sput, if the person has actually been invited to read the thread for themselves, it's not misrepresentation. It's trying to get an involved person's opinion.

I mean, really. It's ok for the MADdites to speculate all sorts of terrible motives about the descendants, but if someone actually invites a descendant to share their opinion, it's an "email bomb campaign".

Wow, this is turning into another "must read" MADdite episode.

Now barrelofmonkey's act of emailing her cousin is an example of "exmormon entitlement", according to Juliann.

http://www.mormonapologetics.org/index. ... 5463&st=80

Another textbook example, abarrelofmonkeys decided she didn't like the Mormons having a discussion that said the wrong things on our own board so she undertook another email tattle campaign because we had the audacity to speak out against this smear in a newspaper.

QUOTE
[Fancher] Descendants want the site in the hands of a neutral third party because they believe the institutional church is complicit in the murders.
"It's not right for the people who had complicity to the killings to be the grave owner," said Bolinger, who discussed the issue with Jensen on April 25 in Salt Lake City.
"I asked him, 'How you do you think the Kennedy family would feel if the Lee Harvey Oswald family had control of the Kennedy tomb?'"

Only they are allowed to speak their minds. Mormons may not react unless they agree. The sense of entitlement is unbelievable.

It's hard to believe even Juliann is writing this nonsense. No one is saying Mormons aren't allowed to speak their minds. What barrelofmonkey's did was to try and get participation from the group being discussed: the descendants.

How in the world does anyone, including juliann, twist this around into an example of exmormons insisting Mormons shouldn't be allowed to speak their minds????????

Well, I got dragged back into it by juliann. Sheesh. I can't even bow out of a conversation without getting attacked for it.

I'm totally disgusted.
So this is where Juliann's thread on email tattling came from. Has this story been picked up by the national news services? Has it been broadcast by SETI?

I just find that thread unbelievable. They pull stuff off a thread over here and post it there and misrepresent me as if I condone calling Mormons mass-murderers. Then when I defend myself, they say, "Stop derailing our threads, Mommy!" I'm not angry, but I wonder what they expect people to do when we are attacked in that way.

Don't worry, runtu, it's not just you. Juliann is accusing anyone who disagrees with her about the topic being discussed of being "off topic".

Man, it is delightful watching the evolution of the Juliann Boards!

Really? I think that the Church ought to demand that the Fanchers turn their land over to a neutral third party as Parley P. Pratt was murdered in Arkansas , perhaps by descendants of the Fanchers , so that the presently-complicit-in -P.P.P's-murder Fanchers cannot hold the land to the chagrin of the LDS Church.

Silly "ed2276" -- the Church already owns the PPP gravesite in Arkansas. ;)
