I wonder if the Church had not used its power to wrest the ownership of the Salt Lake Tribune away from the Kearns family and let Doug Singleton from the Denver Post buy the Tribune, this book might not have occured. Singleton then got rid of Bagley, who had written accurate but not necessarily faith promoting articles over the years, as a return jesture. Robert Kirby also got the wind taken out of his sails as well, in order to retain his job in this tailored for information-softening new management payback.
