Guns, Germs and Steel is a great book and has provoked many conversations in the past on ZLMB.
If you like that book, I'm betting you would enjoy my all-time favorite book, The Moral Animal, by Robert Wright.

We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

I never got around to reading that yet. Does anyone know if it's still 'current'?

It's been a while since I read GG&S, so I can't comment on specific details that may need updated, but the overall theme of the book will always be current.

ZLMB = Zion's Lighthouse Message Board (the message board created by LDS who were tired of the biased moderation of the Tannner's Lighthouse Message Board, so deliberately created a board with nonpartisan moderating. Dissatisfaction with ZLMB resulted in a mass exodus of believers from ZLMB to FAIR)
