Perhaps this is part of the reason you are not following the commandment to be married in the temple? The game does not seek out the hunter. Hunters go to where the game is... :)

What's not to like about church dances, especially as a young adult marriage eligible seemingly passably good looking male? Seems to me like that would be a target-rich environment?

What makes you think the women aren't hunting, Porter? It's the lioness that catches the meat.

Also, Nehor, you need to go to a dance and strut your stuff on the dance floor. That's how girls can judge whether or not you're good marriage material - if you've got rhythm and can move it on the dance floor, then it's likely you'll be able to move it between the sheets. A sorry dancer is surely a sorry lover. That's all dancing is, anyway, simulated sex to music. So go show off your moves and get the ladies turned on, unless you can't dance, then you're better off not letting a gal know until after you're married. But right after the wedding night, she'll know anyway. :P

Yes, I think both are skills that can be learned by someone with an innate sense of rhythm; however, I don't think rhythm itself can be taught. You've either got it or you don't. Really, I'm not sure whether or not men or women with poor rhythm can be taught to be good lovers. My husband is a great dancer, and he's the only man I've ever had sex with, so I have no experience with a rhythm-less man.

And mostly, my post was tongue in cheek, but if that's where a man keeps his tongue, he'll be a worse lover than a man with no rhythm!

Its usually slim pickins at church dances. The crowd I ran with laughed at church dances as they were the hangout for those who didn't have cars or were socially inept. I went to a couple of church dances when I was 14-15. Then I hung out with a more fun crowd and actually enjoyed social situations.
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning

It's target-rich. I'd rather hunt leopards than bunnies though and most of those at the dances tend to be bunnies.

I'm no master of dancing but I've got rhythm at the same level as Fozzie http://youtube.com/watch?v=9ZP6TDJj6w0

If dancing is simulated sex I think more guys would dance more. :) Oh well.

A Mormon leopard. Hmmm. Well, you're not going to find a leopard at a church dance, that's for sure. I'm not even sure you'd find one in Utah. I know a few, but they wouldn't be caught dead at a church dance, and they've already been thrown out of Utah... well, at least off BYU's campus.

The advantage of not being in Utah. ;) I've known several.
