Have to address this quickly. Scratch is the one accusing DCP. If Scratch leaves DCP alone, I guarantee DCP will leave him alone. He has an obsession with "the Good Professor".

liz3564 wrote:My understanding is that Scratch and DCP have exchanged emails, so DCP may very well know more about Scratch than any of us are aware of.

I know what DCP is and is not aware of. Remember? He strokes my ego. :)

Good night.

I didn't say there were "numerous people".

Yes, my dear friend, you did:

So, cough up your knowledge. Or are you taking a page out of juliann's book and totally inventing evidence?

liz3564 wrote:Personal items about Scratch I have picked up on:

He is an active Mormon who questions a lot of Church policies (like many of us here).
He is married, and in his early to mid-30's.
He likes the Matrix movies (rather a given with the avatar choice).
He is well-read.
He has a graduate degree, but I'm not sure what the topic is.

To add to the list:

He likes the movie Anchorman.
He enjoys some pop music (specifically Peter Gabriel song Sledgehammer)
I actually figured Scratch was older (maybe it's the avatar)
I assumed he had a college degree too (like Liz I don't know what topic, though I've opined that it was possibly in Taco Shellery or Taco Appreciation)

Good Lord, just when I was about to sign off but again I have to address this. This, Scratch, is a perfect example of how you twist comments. Does "not just one or two people" mean "numerous people"? Happy hunting through your dictionary and Fowler's Modern English Usage.

Ray---this is at least three people, by my count. So are you going to answer the question or not? Tell us who these (at least) three people are, and how they were hurt.

Or are you making stuff up?

Thank you. I like it too.

You probably like your posts, too, despite them being, just like your avatar, a whole lot of nothing.

Ray A wrote:Dude, first of all, as I said before, I really don't care what your personal opinion of me is. I don't go to bed at night wondering "what does The Dude think of me?"

The reason for this is quite obvious. You go to bed in another part of the world (Australia) while it is still morning time in the US where I hold my opinions. Just try sleeping in the same time zone as me, and then you won't be so smug.

Don't you think for a second I 'ain't paying attention!

I agree that it's a dumb analogy. One might go so far as to call it purile, trite or even asinine. But it's your analogy. I'm merely showing you how stupid it really is when you actually apply it. But to continue on. . .

No need to. You've already conceded your anaology is dumb.

Mind pointing that out for me, Ray? I can clearly see where I said "I'm using your analogy and applying it." And I can see where we are both in agreement that your analogy is stupid, but I don't see, anywhere, me giving an analogy.

Does he like a bit of garlic mixed into the butter? What are Pres. H's feelings on the ramifications of banning dihydrogen oxide? What are his thoughts on Christopher Reeves' actinig ability as demonstrated in Superman 2?

Are you getting my point yet, Ray?

Very clear. You're upset that your star, slanderous anti-Mormon commentator is being questioned on your "free speech" forum. You belch sourness and sound like a whining old goat defending an equally whining old goat. Does it rattle your funny bone to have your resident vilifier under scrutiny?

Ummm. . . Have you ever considered a guided session of therapy while under the influence of LSD? Studies have shown that it has a 99% success rate at curing mental illness, with an emphasis on delusional schizophrenia. It might do you some good, bub.

How you got "I'm pissed because you're making fun of someone" out of "Your comment is stupid and completely inapplicable in the real world", I'm never going to understand.

You're right. Let me explain. A belt buckle, attached to a belt, holds trousers up. A rotating door, more commonly known as a revolving door, assists the flow of "people movement" through large buildings where human traffic is large. Understandy now?

I understand the fact you don't have a sense of humour, have ever watched George Carlin and your Sarcas-O-Meter® needs a good calibration.

Because "everyone here" accepts Scratch's innuendo mostly without question. Apparently. Like attracts like.

Bad strawman. Bad.

Read it
Learn it
Use it no more

Edited to Add: My apologies, Ray. I may have jumped the gun on accusing you of trying to Straw Man your way out of looking stupid. Perhaps, I'm misunderstanding again. For my clarification, are you now changing the focus away from Mr. Scratch? Now, you are focusing on Mr. Scratch's ideas and comments? Because that opens up a whole different argument.

Ray A wrote on another recent thread:

Scratch is what we Aussies call a S*** stirrer.

And like I said there, he sure has you all stirred up.

Ray A also wrote:

He digs up more dirt than a graveyard labourer.

Ray if the S*** didn't exist there wouldn't be anything to stir, right?

If there was no dirt there wouldn't be anything to dig up, right?

But guess what Ray A ..... S*** and dirt exist. Especially on the internet. That is why anonymity is important. That is why I hide and lots of other posters hide behind a made up name and an Avatar and by the way my creator is Hasbro.

I like Mister Scratch and his posts. I think he is knowledgeable and honest. You on the other hand seem like just a little jealous boy from down under.
