But of course, sweetie. That's what you do in therapy every week. And the psych just racks up her bill.

I can't believe I missed this, Ray's too entertaining.

I love weird Al...

I wanted to do a Mormon Paradise rap for the Gong show years ago, and if the ward I was part of ever has one again, I might write one for a friend, it'd be hilarious...they're just goofy enough to pull it off. One year they had some sort of cowboy ballet, it was so sick...

Here's my version

"Look at this situation they got me facin'
I can't live a worldly life,
I was reborn in Christ
So I gotta be down with the Priesthood
Dreams of excommunication got me being good
I'm an educated fool with God on my mind
Got my quad in my hand and a gleam in my eye
I'm a pressed white shirt with slacks wearin fella
And my loafers iz buffed so don't arouse my anger, foo!
Death ain't nothin but a heartbeat away
I'm living for exhaltation, what can I say?
I'm 23 now but will I marry before I'm 24?
The way things is going, I dunno...."

Nice :)

I've loved Weird Al for years. I do admit that someone sending the music video "White and Nerdy" to me saying it made them think of me was kind of .......odd, not sure how to take that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xEzGIuY ... ed&search=

I like the lyrics. I tried to write lyrics for a Mormon Paradise. Some friends and I were going to make a music video of it but key members of the group moved away before we got too far. We stopped just before we made jello with a vegetable salad in it. :)

Thanks for the props on the lyrics. If you ever want to collaborate on Mormon Paradise, let me know. It'd be cool to put something up on Youtube.

White and Nerdy? I have a fetish for nerds, so don't feel bad...though I did find that video funny. I like Dee dee dee by Carlos Mencia as well, reminds me of a couple of our board residents. Have you seen any of the skits by Will Ferrell and Pearl?

I'm not a nerd, I'm a geek :)

Geeks are the non-socially awkward loud guys who are just kinda off. I didn't know there was more than one Pearl video. Just enjoyed watching her force a confession. Brilliant.

I'm quite aware of what the Bible says, having first read it when I was ten years old. You are a Christian? You believe in God? I salute you. Now cease attacking Mormons!!

Ray...can you quote where I have attacked Mormons? :-) Where I have said anything negative about the religion, the people? Even the prophet?

You have 1000 posts. Happy homework.

It was clear to me and everyone else that you thought it was ironic or funny. It's also clear that pretty much no one else thinks that.

Oy, I can't pass this up.

GIMR
From that radiates my true friends and my family. I need nothing else. I left the church when I learned to love myself, because the church could not give me what I needed.

Ray
"Me." "What I needed." It's all about "me, me, me, me" what "I need".

And what, may I ask, is wrong with that?

I've enjoyed reading what you've had to say in this thread, GIMR. I wish theire were more "religious" people like you.

About Ray... I wouldn't bother (unless you've just having fun, in which case I totally understand). Until today, I always just thought he was a sort of hateful anti-exmormon who had trouble communicationing well. After reading this thread, I really think you're right; the guy sounds (especially in this thread) like he's ready for the laughing acadamy.

Ray, dude... seriously, if you are really anything like the persona you've painted on these boards, get professional help... for the sake of everyone unfortunate enough to be around you.

Wow... just, wow.

That was the standard line to me on RFM - "get professional help". I will tell you who is really in need of professional help - the sick, twisted, bitter anti-Mormon "Internet exmos". The blood sucking leeches who are not content to leave the Church but must try, constantly, to bring it down to their sordid level of Nihilism.
