Ray A wrote:Naturally you'll defend your friend, so I expect this from you. And what do most exmo posters on this board do? Label. What do you think I'm here for? To rub shoulders with and give validity to them? Opposition in all things. Would you deny that GIMR attacked Gaz in previous posts? Would you deny that she thinks ill of the Church and TBMs? I don't care, but she denied this, and I produced her statements to the contrary.

By the way, most of my statements quoted by Scratch were taken out of context, completely, and he never considered "the wider context". He culled statements and completely distorted the full picture, and got many others running with his warped ball. Life goes on. I get over it and consider it muddy waters under the bridge.

Liz, please email Ray privately and tell him something nice about himself so he'll stop whining.

Ray, you have yet to post links to all these accusations. Put up, or shut up.

Scratch didn't misquote you, he uncovered you for the psychotic sick spaz that you are, so that we can all laugh.

I have no problem with Liz sending a PM or email. I think she's one of the more balanced posters here. I'd certainly listen to her before I listen to you!

And you call yourself a "Christian"? Laughing and mockery is your trade, and you just proved it once again.

I'm real, honey. You call yourself a perfect Mormon?

Unlike you, I know that God sees me and loves me, for who I am. I'm not perfect, and I am not complete...yet.

You pretend to be righteous and perfect, while projecting onto others your faults in the form of scathing judgement.

Who's really in hell? It ain't me.

I'm gonna here that line in my nightmares from now on.

If there is a general consensus that I'm the polar opposite of Mercury will the community please tell me now. I promise I will immediately leave.....probably by running naked through the streets in fear.

You can still run naked if you would like, but I think Coggins and Ray A. are more the counterparts to Mercury and Porter.

And what "wider context" would that be, Ray? The comments I excerpted clearly demonstrate that you are a "flip-flopper"---that you once bashed away at DCP, TBMs, and Mopologists with the same rabid fervor that you now direct towards critics, exmos, and antis. What "wider context" --- beyond Mormonism itself---could you possibly be referring to?

The big question is: Why were you so upset over it in the first place?

Because at the time I had the same apostate spirit you now have.

GIMR, where did Ray ever call himself a perfect Mormon? Where did he ever claim to be righteous and perfect? Provide examples please, because I think your comments are way off. You've let him get to you and now you're just lashing out.

Have Ray's interactions become more like Coggins, Merc and PP? I'd say yes. His comments have become more heated and vitriolic since I first read his posts over a year ago, and frankly, I have to wonder if this place doesn't bring out the worst in him. Regardless, I still appreciate Ray and his contributions to this board and MADB.

If this board is truly for everyone then don't you think the more strident voices on both sides of the aisle should be allowed to "express themselves"? Heck if the TBM's have to put up with some razzing, then I think it's only fair the Exies have to also.

Come on, Ray---I have already demonstrated that this is a baloney answer. If I were to follow up by asking, "Gee, Ray, how did you get rid of this so-called "apostate spirit"?" I would already know the answer. You admitted, in the thread "The Many Faces of Ray A," that your "shuffling off" of this "spirit" was a result of A) your daughter getting called a "crack whore" by someone on RfM, and B) DCP kissing your butt, or "stroking your ego"---a phrase which got to you so much that you went on and on using it in post after post.

Sorry, mate, but your "apostate spirit" retort doesn't cut it.

Idem, he keeps coming at me with this "you call yourself a Christian" bull. He cannot judge my heart, yet he does mine and everyone else here, instead of doing the real work of a Christian which is introspection. This strange man is telling me that he knows my heart based on what?

Yes, his posts are quite strange, and the issue with him is his credibility. How can you go from being so violent towards one end of the spectrum to swinging completely to the other end?

Ray hasn't gotten to me, dear. I just speak my mind, which seems to bother some on this board. I sugar coat not a thing.

I'm not asking Ray to leave, I'm asking him to get some help or at the very least, try to dust off his common sense. If he's going to question my walk with God, I'm going to question his. All these accusations of anti-mormonry are rediculous. Ray knows not one bit of the pain I went through with the church, after what I went through I do have a right to be angry...but I am not. Yet...because occasionally I speak my mind I'm anti. No...that's not the case, and in Ray's case, anyone who challenges him is anti-mormon.

Ray's just a nut. We're a fruitcake here. If you like lost causes, more power to you. Don't single me out because of him.
