I find it very interesting, if not telling, that you linked to the Urban Dictionary...

A couple of clues: I came on this board to address some specific issues with some specific people. This isn't one of them, and you're not one of them.

Capice?

Zazie (dans le métro) had it right:

DCP mon cul, réplique Zazie. Il m’interesse pas du tout, cet enflé, avec son chapeau à la con.

Nuff said ... (but how did she know about the hats?)

Indeed. It was the first item on the list turned up by Google, and the only one I looked at in response to Nightingale's issue.

Deeply significant, that.

(I'm desperately hoping that I didn't give away too much.)

Well...if you aren't Dr. Peterson, you certainly have his sense of humor. ;)

Welcome to the board!

Hi, Nightingale.

The shell you're thinking of is called a carapace. A carapace can be any hard, protective layer, like a turtle's shell. I have a particular fondness for turtles, so I just happened to know the technical name for their shells. :)

Just thought you might like to know, considering your love of words.

"Nightingale's issue" - LOL!! I just thought it was particularly funny that an apparent spelling error occurred right when you guys were talking about spelling errors. (Yes, I am easily amused, hehe).

Thanks KA! You have added to my knowledge this day. I am sadly disappointed in my Oxford Reference English dictionary as it just completely overlooks the entire enquiry.

I was reading about shells (capice) and then the Italian language lesson and now about turtles. Who says boarding is just a waste of time? Something new - every day!

LOL!

Good one!

I actually think that PP and Mercury should be appropriately named Beavis and Butthead of the board. Bond and I will have to come up with a scenario. ;)

No, Hamblin is.

Will Schryver: "No, he didn’t." 3/19/08
Still waiting for Will to back this up...
