That's exactly what I'm dealing with right now. Even down to having to go in a re-edit posts.

beastie wrote:Geez, I had no idea what all this was about until it was explained here, and yet cabbie still tried to blame me. Cabbie, I don't think a mentally challenged product of incest (me, according to cabbie) could be the master mind behind all this.

The irony is that I have defended RfM on FAIR many times. I've explained, over and over, why exmormons ARE angry at first, and why they have a right to be angry, and why venting on RfM may be helpful.

But at the same time, I won't defend the more juvenile aspect of RfM, and the apparent mob mentality someone else noted above.

Eric is a great guy, and offering a service with good intent. None of this should reflect on him, personally. I think the difficulties RfM presents is due to its size, and the intense activity of the board, as well as allowing anonymous posting. I don't know what the answer is for them. I would guess that any board that has that level of activity is going to have similar problems.

Huh? When did this happen?

And what is the deal with SL Cabbie? I've heard a few people talk bad about him, but since I don't follow RfM very closely I guess I've been missing examples of his bad behavior. Can anyone draw up a quick profile of him (anyone else think someone should be "Scratching" RfM and writing up profiles so people who don't follow it can get a handle on the background of the posters over there)?

eh, its six of one, half dozen of the other in my book. Different boards have different ambiances. I enjoy RfM for some things, this place for others.

I've tried Postmormon, but the colour scheme just skeeves me out.

On MAD? I have no problem whatsoever. How/why could that be happening?

I'm having issues this morning. I went last night and had no issues. I'll post something and then get a blank screen. I have to go back to the main page and start all over.

monkeys...just before I made the above comment, I made a post on MAD on a thread about trolls. Just wanted to check that out first before I commented further. So, I can't imagine what's going on for you. I was on one thread for perhaps two days on and off and had no problems with that either.

Who knows? I'm just relieved I'm not the only one. I thought it might be a special torture devised just for me.

lol, monkeys. I'm sure there is some techie explanation such as that offered by Liz. You could take what I know about tech stuff, put it in a very small pinky thimble and still not fill it up!

You could put my knowledge in there as well and still have some room left over. :D

LOL, monkeys, LOL! Jersey Girl Trivia: a person who posts on this board taught me how to copy and paste and create hyperlinks online. That is to say they walked me (and others) through it on a thread.
