Uplifting music
I have a 45 minute commute to and from work each day. Here are some of the CD's I rotate:
"The Last Five Years" Broadway Soundtrack
"Phantom of the Opera" Broadway Soundtrack
"Rent" Movie Soundtrack
"A Chorus Line" Broadway Soundtrack
Chicago Greatest Hits
"St. Elmo's Fire" Soundtrack
Chris Botti Jazz CD
"Jekyl and Hyde" Broadway Soundtrack
"The Lord of the Rings" Soundtrack
Yes, I am a total nerd. I understand that. LOL

I can't listen to music anymore, I don't think any of it is uplifting so I stick with talk radio. But since Free FM was pulled, I don't have much choice. I'm completely out of touch with the music world, so today I heard this song called, "Hey there Delilah", omg, it was fantastic but completely ruined my day and nearly threw me into depression. Composing, recording/sequencing was a favorite hobby but it had such a negative effect on me I just sort of quit doing it.
Tool was quite possibly the pinnacle of all music. APC did a great job continuing that style. I could listen to that except I've listened to it too much and someone needs to figure out how to take that to the next step. Of course, I agree with Porter also that you can't go wrong with The Four Horsemen, my all time favorite rhythm section to play on guitar and not a chance in hell it could lead to depression.
Moksha brought up the Brother's Four. Funny, I listened to one of those albums over and over again when I was a kid so I know those songs very well.
Speaking of LPs from those times, I've raised this question on a couple of occasions without ever getting much of a affirmative response: How many of you have heard the hit album titled, "Yes I'm a Lamanite"? Someday I'm going to find that record at my parents house and dedicate a blog with mp3s to it.

Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

That's awesome. Two or three years ago when the subject came up, i couldn't find much about it online.

I love the Plain White T's! They sing, "Hey There Delilah". What about that song made you depressed? I love that song!
Singing, "Oh, it's what you do to me, oh, it's what you do to me...ohhhh...ohhhh o...."
(If you could hear my singing you'd be depressed all over again and not because of the lyrics!)

I like to keep it simple when I'm seeking peace:

not sure if anything comes much closer.
If you've never heard of him here is a tribute to his memory (the song has been sped up but the visuals speak a thousand words):
