Saying the Church is true is technically incorrect. I don't say it. The Gospel can be either true or false. The Church simply is.

Some doctrines are inseparable from the Gospel; the doctrine of the Atonement (which it seems so few get) the key one.

A few quibbles with the OP

5. There is a procedure whereby the Twelve set apart the Prophet of the Church by the laying on of hands. The words used are not explicitly laid out anywhere but most prayers and blessings in the Church do not have a preset format so I imagine the prayer is personalized.

6. The standard response is that Pastor=Bishop and Evangelist=Patriarch. Arguing whether or not Christ's Church had these offices with the same name is pointless as the words are adopted from the language. When the Church enters a new language area decisions have to be made as to what words to adopt to each office.

7. I've seen the more dramatic manifestation of the Gift of Tongues. It is rare in the Church but I suspect that is mostly because we do not ask for it. Same with most of the other gifts. Prophecy is more common. Both rarely in a public setting though. In my experience it happens among family and friends and not in settings where it would confuse people. I expect that the day that someone can speak in Tongues or Prophesy in a Sacrament Meeting and everyone will understand what is happening will be when it comes.

8. Without the Holy Ghost arguing what the LDS do and do not accept from the Bible (or any other scripture) is pointless.

10. The literal gathering will one day begin again. For now the command is to aid those in the nations in which you live. When the time comes to call the people back we will start moving back again.
