Why did this get moved? Why does a thread like this get moved, and yet a thread like this or this not moved?

I have never voted Republican. But if I was an American citizen, I would.

why anyone would back the Republican party now, what with countless sex scandals,

Sex scandals is no respecter of party affiliation. (Think JFK, for one.)

I don't mind a lack of centralized leadership. In fact I think the less leadership the better. I would prefer that Congressional meetings be held in an enlarged version of the building in which they wrote the Constitution with similar ventilation and lack of A/C. Congress would have shorter meetings, be in session for less time, would dispense with anything not vital, and in short, do a lot less.

I was a hard core Republican Conservative, had a brief stint as a Liberal, dabbled in Libertarianism, and then realized the solution to the Nation's problems is the Scorched Earth Party. Their motto is something like:

"There is no problem so complicated or difficult that it can't be solved by murdering everyone even remotely involved."
