Ummm, I think you missed the pun behind asbestoman's post. Or maybe I missed your pun. Or maybe everyone's been serious all along and I'm all on my own here. :O
WK: "Joseph Smith asserted that the Book of Mormon peoples were the original inhabitants of the americas"
Will Schryver: "No, he didn’t." 3/19/08
Still waiting for Will to back this up...

Since we're talking about a French MP, I think it only natural that we'd converse in double-entendre.

I'm pretty sure WK got it. I just wish I got last one.

Oh, poot, that means I'm the clueless one.

waaah!

Yeah, of course the MADdites are reading, and probably feeling titillated that we're such naughty people. And imagining just what that incredible pop up must have been.

and then frantically singing a hymn
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

He just wants his elders to get a better grip on things so they can truly become tools in the hands of . . . maybe I should stop this right now before I get struck by lighting . . .

. . . or by the big stick. President Roosevelt's, not the MP's.

You've all defiled me. Maybe I should wash my hands of this place.

Maybe I should wash my brain of it too.

Really? I think he unwittingly revealed that he has the same problem he's breathing fire about: porn and masturbation. It's not uncommon for a man to secretly indulge in such "filth", and then turn around and spend a lot of energy fighting it, as atonement or compensation for his own weak flesh. Not only does this mission president have pop-up porn on his home computer, indicating some porn site probably has his address, but he describes the pictures with language that is just about worshipful. It was the most incredible thing he'd ever seen. Oh yeah [afterthought] it was really filthy too.

Yep. Think Richard Lyman. The man spent years giving fire-and-brimstone speeches about chastity; he was exed for adultery.

No. I was just joking around with double-entendres along with Beastie and Who Knows. I'm still an adolescent at heart.

I agree that his description was disturbing, even bordering on hypocritical. Still, I am in no position to judge. I just thought his discription was very odd for one proclaiming that it was horrible filth.
