Nehor,

The topic of the thread IS sex - albeit solo sex, but sex. It's not a symptom of a culture saturated with sexual innuendos that we've engaged in innuendos here. It's what the thread was about.


I was referring to how easily you can make hymns into innuendos.

I understand, but the whole reason we were turning hymns into innuendos was due to the topic of the thread.

Never mind.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Modern culture does bother me in many ways, but I guess the inuendos aren't one of them. There are things much more foolish which I find troubling.

With only 2 baps a month, I suspect there are very few home-grown French missionaries.


My MP spoke such poor french it was pure torture whenever he (rarely) tried to address us in french. Brought tears to my eyes.

Ok, it's official, this Mission President is a fecking arsehole. I'm listening to the extended audio sections right now, and he's really raking them over the coals. They're "only" reporting in the low 40s of work hours per week, and he's demanding to know where the other 20 hours are. He wants to know why they're not placing a Book of Mormon every day, why they're not teaching more discussions, etc. Of course, he says, it's their fault. They're not doing what the Lord has commanded. If they were, they'd be seeing more success.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

I was being sarcastic, I think almost no one is repressed about it and getting it more in the open is not making that number grow fewer.

Ah. My sarcasm meter must be on the fritz!

I do believe there is still quite a bit of sexual repression that abounds. :)
