I think Skype is down at the the moment. Server problems or repairs, maybe?

I just got home and thought I'd check to see if anyone was chatting. Darn, I guess it won't happen tonight.

Yeah.....we tried but it kept crapping out. Skype wasn't very cooperative.

I'll still be on Saturday night at 12 Eastern or so.

Well, I just realized that I had changed my settings to offline and forgot to change it back to online. that's why I couldn't skype the other night, lol. When Skype started working again, I still couldn't do anything until I remembered to change my status back to online.

Silly me.

By the way, you can often use earphones / headphones as a cheap microphone. Just plug them into the microphone jack. I'd use an old, cheap pair of earphones though as I can't guarantee that it won't ruin them. And yes, I have used this trick before. The quality isn't great, but you can hear something intelligeable enough to make out words and hold a conversation.
