Please enlighten me on how my statements are irrational or rash.
You conclude that there is only one side to the issue, that the man I guilty and then make and irrational comparison to the Enron debacle.
Well lets see...they liquidate the assets of a nonprofit organization (see enron pension fund), appoint the douche who did it to a VP position and then he takes a big salary. He profited from a shady deal (see Ken Ley). You do not see the impropriety of this? Wow, you ARE blind.
He was a public employee that secured the deal bringing the public organization into massive debt. The assets were given to a private organization that then appointed the dealmaker into a VERY profitable position. Are you that stupid?

From what I read, if he was directing the transition to a corporation that he was an officer of (and that seems to be the case), that's a clear conflict of interest and extremely unethical. Maybe there's another side of the story, but at this point it seems more than a bit shady.

So what? Why should Runtu not give his opinion?
I'm still waiting for the Utah press to pick up on this. They aren't exactly showing their journalism skill right now.
This is perhaps the first clear indication that the "whitewashing" I anticipated has indeed become a reality. Some here will no doubt recall that a Church "puppet organization" purchased the SL Trib, in effect yanking control away from the family that had looked after the Trib for generations. Now, apparently, the journalists are being muzzled. One would expect the Trib to report on Elder Cook's misdeeds.

That's interesting. I had no idea the Trib was bought indirectly by the LDS Church. Where can I learn about that?
I sent this to the Tribune days ago, so obviously they don't intend to comment on it. Has anyone tried notifying some other, more independent news organization?

Good grief, what kind of reputable news organization keeps the news underwraps?
