A technical question

Post by _jayneedoe »

When I log in, if I stay in the three degrees of glory (snort), everything is fine. However, if I go to the Off-Topic section it doesn't recognze that I have logged in.

I posted on "The War" thread (sorry, don't remember the exact name), and each time it sent me to the log-in screen, and I have to log in again although I had already logged in.

Now I have a multiple post on that thread, but because it doesn't recognize I have already logged in, I can't remove it.

Can anyone explain why Off-Topic does not recognize that I am logged in and what I can do about it?

Thanks in advance.

Along those same lines, if I log in at the Discussions Forum and then proceed to one of the kingdoms and try to post, I am often asked to log in again.

It's not that important. Just slightly annoying.

I just posted to the war game thread and it happened again. Is there somewhere else I should post about this question? I feel stupid when two posts of the same picture show up.

Thanks,

Jaynee, look for Keene's name. Send him a PM. He will know the answer and fix the problem most likely.

It looks like either Keene or one of the other Mods already cleaned up the double posts because I don't see any.

The best way to find Keene is to email him rather than PM him.

Which browser are you using?

MDB is much more compatible with Firefox than it is with Internet Explorer.

If I access MDB from Explorer, I always have problems with staying logged in. With Firefox, it happens rarely.

PM me if you would like me to walk you through a few things.

I deleted a double post.....and I have to log in twice on Internet Explorer. On Firefox (which I can use on campus in one lab) it usually only takes once.

This login problem occurs every time I try to login to this forum. I normally have to login mukltiple times before the forum software recognizes my login. And , yes, I am using the correct login name and password each time. I think the forum software has a bug in it, because this problem does not occur on other forums I visit.

Might there be a update to the forum software that the webmaster can install?

When I want to post a reply or use the quote function to reply, I am frequently bounced back to the main forum menu, then I re-enter the thread and I am OK to reply. Not every time but often. Not a big deal.

I use FireFox, Windows Internet Explorer sucks, BIG time.
