No, I've never tried it, although I own a copy of the 5th Edition. I'd like to play it someday, but I don't know anyone who can teach me.

I don't know if this counts, but I was a bigtime enthusiast of the Advanced Third Reich/Empire of the Rising Sun game system (I'd even made a magnetized set) up 'till about 10 years ago. I quit because I wasn't much good at it.

I played that a few times but never owned and my friend who had it moved. Yeah, World in Flames is hard to play. We had a magnetized set and the maps covered one whole wall of the room. Good times. I haven't played that in a while though they are working on a computer version. I've played a few games by e-mail but it's hard to do with a cyberboard. Looking forward to the actual game.

I like Guster too, especially their last two albums. I prefer the sound of the drum kit more than the percussion of their earlier stuff. I saw them in concert a long time ago. That drummer/percussionist is a madman. I also like some Death Cab (We Have the Facts) and a few Ben Kweller songs. The only RHCP album I like is Uplift Mofo Party Plan. My brother had that one when I was a freshman in high school and I remember listening to it all the time. I'll have to check out some of the others you mentioned. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Rogue Wave and Sea Wolf.
